i can feel God's rage over my life.. he is always there.. and i always turn on him, like I'm giving him up to be crucified on the cross. give me some advice.. how do you guys surrender to God The Almighty? What Bible verses or books should I read?
I found this book helpful...Absolute Surrender by Andrew Murray.

Keep coming back to God in Christ and acknowledging your sins
and failures and asking God to forgive you and cleanse you from
the desire to sin and its effect on your life and ask Him to fill you
with His holy Spirit.

Be persistant...

Don't give up as it takes time to surrender some deeply embedded
areas of sinful behavior and habits to the Lord.

God is gentle and so He won't rip the sin out of you but He will
work with you as you come to Him for His help and He will give
you the strength each day to do better.

Leave behind people, situations and circumstances that make
it hard to resist your sinful behaviors.

Find new situations and people that will cause you to grow in God like
attending Bible studies or prayer groups.

Read the Bible especially the New Testament and pay attention
to the words of Christ as we as Christian need to see where God
is leading us when we follow after the Lord.

Pray daily in the morning before you get out of bed and ask the Lord
to be with you and to have His way in your day and to show you
before hand any danger or entrapments that will cause you to fail.

God looks for those who ask for His help.
God delights when we come to Him as we would a loving Father who has
our best interest at heart as we know His intentions are good and for the best in our lives.

Foster a mentallity of God consciousness by realizing that God sees
everything in your life, good or bad and that He loves you and wants you to communicate with
Him throughout the day by talking to Him, knowing He hears your every thought.

Talk to Him about the good, the bad and the ugliness of your life as you open up
your heart and ask Him to come in and help you to improve and do better.

Remember, God does not condemn you, you condemn yourself as you know by the holy
Spirit within you that you are going in the wrong direction.

The trouble is your own desire to sin is greater than your spirit man's
desire to stop so you need God's help to improve and to strengthen
your spirit man to overcome the old sinful nature.

No child can walk when it is born but must learn with the help of their parent
so that they can stand and walk on their own.

What are you feeding on?

GIGO garbage in, garbage out...

If you are not building up your spirit man with the word of God,
if you are not communicating with God, if you are not fellowship with those who are
following God, if you are not reading God's written word in the Bible,
then your spirit man becomes weak while your sinful man runs the show.
Also...
Trying to do what is right without God's help is like a drowning man
trying to save himself, the more he struggles, the weaker he becomes
and the sooner he will slip under the waves.

We need God's help and He asks us to come to Him and lay bare
our hearts in honesty and with the realization that we cannot
walk the walk of Christ without His help every day, hour, minute
and second....

God consciousness, knowing He is there, knowing He loves us, knowing
He really does care, knowing that He really is able to bring about a change in
our lives when open ourselves up to Him in honesty and ask Him to be Lord of
every part of us.

Hi forGod1.

Psalm 31:5 Into your hands I commit my spirit, deliver me, Lord, my faithful God.

The surrender to God is the free of one self from all things, and not only that God becomes the number one but the only one, it is to free one self of every thing but God and his will for us.

And that is done through the Lord Jesus our savior.

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

We find our souls heavy because we may be far from Christ a lot of times that we do not abide in him when bad things happen, and instead of his loving will we do our will.

As you know, two wills cannot go together, and to free onself starts by mentioning God in everything that we do like in the paryer (a) the success (b) and the weakness (c)...

a - we keep your attention on God to not let satan interrupt us during the prayer
b - Psalm 84:5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
c - Psalm 61:2 From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

That sounds like Satan. That **definitely** does not sound like God. You are really misplaced there.

Only times I have ever felt God's anger like that was twice with jobs where I basically set it up to quit. But, that was even not serious, he was just upset because he felt I did not trust him and wanted me to stay at those jobs because he had a plan worked out.

I am sure he was fine about it afterwards. I do the same thing with my wife. She will call me asking me if I was furious, when it was some trifling matter I forgot about before she even called.

Otherwise, nobody could be more laidback then God.

So, unless you are doing, consistently, really really weird horrible stuff like sexual sadism or serial killing or something, that is not going to be God.

The Gospels. The four books of Jesus.

True. The Bible says God is sad when we give into sin. He's not angry. He's sad. :)

"When our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts and knows all things".

Keep that in mind. Meditate deeply on Romans 8. You need to know that God is your friend in this, trying to get you to higher ground. We're on the other side of the Cross and under grace, not slaves to performance under the law.

I would keep praying to be filled with the Holy Spirit. This is an ongoing process. Keep directing your thoughts toward Him as you can. Ask Him to reveal any areas that need your attention. There may be a root somewhere, something you don't know about, which is the key to the whole thing. Also devote whatever you find yourself doing to His glory. You will need to exercise patience and persistence. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Remember how the walls of Jericho were taken down in due time by simply surrounding the problem with a prayer of faith. See John 15 for abiding. This is what surrender looks like.

The way to go is to live by the Spirit, that is how you should know how God feels on matters.

The Spirit can bring remembrance on Scripture, but I do find as often as the Spirit does this for sin it is typically about faith. On the Law, it is typically about how the Law can be misunderstood because it is spiritual, and again, on faith.

I am not sure what "sin" you believe you are engaging in, however. What sin is it you possibly could think God would be furious at you on?

I could see if you were beating up weaker people or something like that. I think God does get furious on some errors, but He really has to have passion worked up. Like what one saw with Jesus with the money traders at the temple. I think that was Jesus being jealous for God. I think God can be jealous for Jesus in that way.
