Catholics celebrate Mass every day of the week. The first communion was on Good Thursday, not on a Sunday. The first mention of communion outside of that on a specific day of the week is Sunday (according to the NT). I am not aware of any evidence of communion being celebrated on Saturday as part of the weekly communion celebration.
The Sunday Mass is celebrated on Saturday evenings because it is considered Sunday in the Jewish tradition. Monks, nuns, and priests have their Liturgy of Hours and there is no Saturday evening prayer- it's called Sunday Evening Prayer I.
That's pretty funny. But then again I'm used to the RCC making conflicting statements, then justifying on the sole basis that 'we're right no matter what anyone sez because we say so.'
so Saturday is Sunday...and if you don't believe it...
