I do not know why? Probably it is because they do not want christians to know that they are made right with God by faith in Christ alone, they do not want them to know about abundance of grace, or that we are dead to the imputation, condemnation, the penalty and guilt of sin, they do not want them to know that we are dead to the law of moses (the ten commandments), they do not want them to know that we have peace with God etc

Hey Brothers and Sisters,
Why don't more WOF preachers preach sound doctrine, like Romans chapters 4-8.

Probably the same reason Presbyterian brothers don't preach on being filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. ;)

Newbie Greetings,

US Army 22 years.

The most interesting chaplin we had was a Princeton graduate, Presbyterian, who was filled with the Holy Spirit and had the evidence.

Go figure. :)

The Most High will not fit any mold.

I knew that chaplin very well, and he was on fire to share the gospel,
and live a true Christain life as an example.

We served together in a hostile zone, and he was the real deal.

The Romans Road, sound very sound indeed.

I believe they all teach this in some manner all the time.

But there are 66 books in the Bible,a lot of ground to cover, and always new truths to be brought out.

I've heard it. I've listened to teaching for over 30 years and as was said before, there is a lot of ground to cover. WoF doesn't skip this! It's out there. IF you are earnest of finding it ask the Lord to show you. He will lead you to anything you are hungry to learn. He delights in revealing. But if you are just trying to point a finger and accuse than you are siding with satan, not a good idea imo. I can't see the intent of your heart so I don't know and do not presume. Js, the Lord delights in teaching and will gladly show you what you need to know, furnish you with the teacher who expounds on it, or will talk you about it directly.

Hagee?

Hopefully you mentioned this in a positive light, because if anyone can preach its John Hagee.

His son Matthew is a chip off the old block as well.

I must be listening to the right WOF preachers because the ones I listen to sure teach this. I have also noticed that WOF teachers actually teach MORE of the Word than others

I don't know how long you've been sitting under a WOF ministry or if you're speaking of the WOF messages that are aired on tv or the books that you can buy...but first I wanted to say that I have never heard them referred to as preachers...I picture the preachers as barking a sermon out at the crowd...what I've often heard them referred to as teaching the Word of God. Tapings from a Sunday service are not the same as a bible study, but I can testify to the fact that many also have many bible lessons that go on Monday thru Friday with their lead pastor & teacher & also assistant ministry pastor & men's groups & women's group & single's groups...the list goes on. What I'm trying to get you to see is that more goes on than what you see on tv or read in a book.

I spent my 1st 15 yrs at a WOF church which appeared on tbn & local tv & radio...considered one of the so called mega churches, that had 10 bible studies & each pastor leading them taught a verse by verse expository of every book of the bible...and only at our Sunday service was it slightly less meat served b/c everyone is not ready to receive on the same level...but any day of the week, mornings if you worked or preferred mornings or evening Mon - Fri. you had a choice & so some are babes & might have chosen a certain pastor they liked hearing from...some more seasoned may have chosen whomever they were getting fed the Word of God & ministering to them in a way they could best understand or receive from...etc...

...this to me makes sense that God would work it out that way...if I took a friend who knew nothing at all about Jesus Christ or the Word of God to a bible study expounding on Romans 4-8...though I know the Holy Spirit can draw that friend thru the words the pastor had spoken there would still be much about it that might well go over his or her head, if a foundation were not laid first....but that's from my understanding...God's way of thinking is not like mine or yours...he even says in his word that he takes the simplest things and confounds those who think they so wise. 1 Cor 1:27 so who's to say He can't use a message or a sermon of any topic or scripture to get one saved & studying for himself these passages you have noted?

As one post said God will reveal these answers to you if you ask Him to.

...trust in God always. He's knows what he's doing. Great question...certainly provokes us to think...Stay blessed.

Yep great teachers, but I have heard them all say, don't shout me down when Im preaching good!

I think Dad Hagin coined that slogan.

ha ha yes! I do remember Kenneth Hagin back in the day when he would often visit our church & the crowd would start roaring w/ praise b/c the Holy Spirit's presence was "so thick in this place you could cut it with a knife" (another phrase he also often used to say). He'd say that as we began to shout & rejoice at the words spoken at something he was teaching us about faith, prayer or healing, etc....jesse duplantis & Copeland say it too...but I guess it's just how I noticed the word preachers being used & why the op has not known them to ever mention Romans 4-8...I just always thought of these great men & women in the WOF ministries as having a particular ministry gift or anointing as mentioned in Ephesian 4:11 "and he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;..."

I apologize for turning it into a big deal...b/c we're all called in the body of Christ as "preachers" to preach the gospel...and of course the bible says how can they hear without a preacher....but very few are called & anointed to teach as these men mentioned are...but when the op referred to 5 chapters in the book of Romans not mentioned by "WOF preachers" it just sounded odd to me b/c they HAVE taught on these scriptures and the world calls them "preachers" often using the word in a disrespectful or derogatory fashion...& reference to them not preaching sound doctrine sounds mean-spirited to me...I could be wrong, but that's what I was picking up on.

Is the OP serious:

Romans 4 for example is a chapter of faith with this WoF gem...

17 As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.

Hi Optimus Fortis,
This verse is a point I,m talking about. Many will use this text and take in out of context. It says God call things that be not as though they were. It's not the average believer. We have a role in all of this but, I,m not the God of the universe. He himself calls things that be not. I can use my faith to speak to mountains in my life, this is actually what Jesus taught. The Lord God takes care of the big things.

My real point with the question was I see many WOF teachers stressing faith. But Paul stated that the real use of faith in the New Covenant is to open the the door to God's grace so we can stand. Faith truly opens the door to grace (unmerited favor). The grace that brings favor and gives me dominion over sin.
