Why Do So Many Want To Be Raptured?

"Replace the idea of "judgment" with the idea of "testing"

No need to do this B2 .... both are the same

You do way too much "replacing" .... like you do in Revelation 12

What you need to know is that there will be none of His ecclesia left on the earth on the day when the Lord's sets up the court room for the judgment of the tribulation .... not one

If you want to go there you can as your MSOG theology teaches you .... but if you do you are going to be shocked

And I have to tell you this again [Revelation 3:10-13 vs 3:15-22]

.... you can take your pick

One with oil .... or one with no oil [Matthew 25:1-13]

Matthew 10:28

28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

satan has no wrath, the tribulation is all about deception,of him(satan)pretending to be Christ.....

Why would you want to escape anyway, this is the time that we as Christians should make a stand, and how do we ?

Ephesians 6:11 "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

This is also the time that true tongues shall be spoken again, when the Holy Spirit shall speak through us....

Mark 13:9 "But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for My sake,, for a testimony against them."

Mark 13:10 "And the gospel must first be published among all nations."

Mark 13:11 "But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost [Spirit]."

Christians have been dying since forever for the Word of God,in more horricfic ways imaginable, now what makes you special, that you get to escape?????

And besides satan can't go around killing people anyway, and have them believe he is Christ!!!!

Again it's all about deception

This is a sad, sad little peek into you misunderstanding of both the great tribulation and the mentality of pre-tribulation believers.

It's not only about deception, otherwise it would be a cakewalk. When Satan is cast down from the heavens for the last time, he comes with great WRATH. The great tribulation is an unparalleled time of distress in which the vast majority of the world's population will be wiped out by nearly every type of disaster imaginable. It's not even martyrdom that many will fall to. This seems to be the error lots of people make; they underestimate the hostility of the environment they will be exposed to.

The second misconception I want to deal with is the idea that people fear the tribulation more than they love Jesus. It's easy to look down on us and judge us because you think you're smarter, braver, more committed to serving God, and even more righteous, but that is a folly on you. As I've told others, you haven't walked in another man's shoes to know where God has taken them in their life nor can you hope to know what they are capable of enduring by the grace of God. This prevailing arrogance I see among post-tribbers is disappointing.

You say I don't deserve to escape martyrdom? Who made you God? Don't you understand that He has a sovereign will and that He has blessed Americans so that we wouldn't have to be a part of the suffering that Christians living in other parts of the world have had to? And IF God should say, "Come up here" should I say "Not so, Lord" simply because I don't feel like I've earned it by suffering through great tribulation? Not everyone who has ever died in Christ died a martyr. And excuse me for not looking forward to the tribulation when the hope that I see described in the word of God is what our ultimate goal is in the first place - to rest in the arms of Jesus Christ and let him wipe all of our tears away.

Believe what you believe but don't make assumptions about what I fear, ignorance about the presence of God through tribulation, and my willingness to lay down my life for my Lord and Savior. So many post-tribbers carry this attitude towards pre-tribbers and I know one reason why is because the teachers teach them to. But change your way of thinking.

It is outright despicable

Militant post-tribulation thinkers and the same of preterism gnaw at both ends of the truth to the point of destroying the very gospel that they claim to believe

And we should expect the growth of this kind of behavior as the world moves closer to the time of the Lord's next visitation

The prophetic scriptures forecast the profile of the professing "church" to reach the conditions of great apostasy and not to grow in the right direction

.... and when the fullness of the Gentiles has been added the Lord will then turn on a world of maximum unbelief suddenly and with no warning

The preterist will squirm and the pretender of the post-tribulation crowd who seek the Lord's warth will get it

But that is the way it goes

satan comes in peace, for as Christ said, when they shall say peace, then sudden destruction....In the book of revelation, what were Gods orders to satan? Touch not mine Elect........its not about me wanting to die for Christ, its about me planting a seed, and pray God makes it grow for whoever chooses to hear.....satan comes in peace, his biggest mistake will be killing the two witnesses.......

Why should a man of God be afraid of His wrath? It won't be directed at them,I suggest you read revelations, to see exactly who should be afraid.....

With the Trumpets pouring out his wrath today, ie, most oblivious to, in preliminary judgments, ie, 'reading Revelation,' one should have a heartful terror of God not wanting to offend him, let alone provoke him, during the week beyond the Sunday services for an hour and a half.

Just ol' old 'terror' of God Jack

Mr. R.C.H. Lenski's "Commentary on the N.T." is the only Commentary in cyberspace that is in the ball-park......last I checked, not a freebee. I use Mr. Martin Chemnitz's Commentary forward to about 1918's other works; and older so called outdated 'sermons' in high German, etc. that I miraculously pulled out of the various libraries in Germany, and in the U.S about 3 decades ago while doing my graduate work, ie, libraries were my second home.

What attracted me to the older high German was their very old 'sermons' on Rev.6:2, ie, their view of the power of the Word riding out against the enemies of the Lamb (in accord with Rom.1:18) more than a Rom.1:16 kind of thing, ie, I still cannot find fault with their works. Mr. Lenski's English Commentary was the only one that was close compared to the older works.

You will have to reject, but thank you for caring. Just ol' old really outdated Jack, agape Matthias Loy's Commentary also.
thanks...
I have what I consider to be a stable view of the 1st seal.
it is based on the Greek word, translated as bow in english.
it does not mean a weapon, but a bow of fabric/covering/appearing

we have for us detailed what Christ looks like, in Rev1 and 4
but this 1st seal rider's bow/appearance is a "toxon"

toxon means a cheap fabric imitation/knock off...the cheapest material

and both are here 4 the tribulation.

because they love the truth...witnesses against the beast
-and one is not kept from the trib at all, and will be with the beast
because they love not the truth....seduced by the beast

it's like u guys just overlook the rest of the letter about overcoming.

This is a sad, sad little peek into you misunderstanding of both the great tribulation and the mentality of pre-tribulation believers.
funny thing is, I thot it was spot on....about both!

It's not only about deception, otherwise it would be a cakewalk.
how so? Satan is wiser than Daniel. are you, am I?
he's even convinced 1/2 the church
that they fly away early, with out ever even experiencing the "cakewalk"
pretty darn good at what he does ;).

after all, he is prophesied to try to deceive/seduce the church
by overcoming the saints, them worshiping the beast,
deception/seduction

When Satan is cast down from the heavens for the last time, he comes with great WRATH.
that wrath has diff. forms.
the first, is that of complete and utter deception
as he fools the world into thinking he is God
in the prophets we learn that he comes on "wings of peace"

he's NOT coming down here lopping off heads
he's coming here to play church!

things escalate at the end

The great tribulation is an unparalleled time of distress in which the vast majority of the world's population will be wiped out by nearly every type of disaster imaginable.
only complete literists see things that way
you don't expect a literal 7 headed dragon do you?
of course not. its a obv. political faction

1/3 is the common bible equivalent for deception
and in the post trib scenario, even if it was literal,
if we are God's elect, then we won't be killed.
he needs us, has a job for us to do....and has promised protection

the way I see it, is that it is the most important time in history
and all the prophets wished they could be here.
God has chosen some of us today,
to soon be witnesses against the beast and his system
but the others, even tho they call themselves Christians, and love God
will receive their portion with the hypocrite because they love not the truth
and the proof of that is that they were taken in deception,
during the flood of the end times.

the false one coming first to deceive us, is a "repeated" biblical teaching

im not saying that's guaranteed to be you or any pre tribber.

but i'm saying that pre trib theology in general
is a set up to believe on the first Jesus on the scene
instead of waiting patiently like we are told to do
all through Rev, and the NT
for the true Coming of Christ, after the false one....
at the Resurrection of ALL that The Father gave the Son

the rapture is AFTER that,
unless u disagree with John 6/11 connected to 1Thes4:13-1Thes5:11

ALL in Christ are raised at His Coming, ALL! (John6)
so it CANT be a pre trib event
because the TWO WITNESSES of Rev11 are raised during /at the end of the best's reign

It's not even martyrdom that many will fall to. This seems to be the error lots of people make; they underestimate the hostility of the environment they will be exposed to.
no offense but
I love how pre tribbers like to sell books about the end times and the trib
even tho they teach that we wont be here for any of it
it makes me laugh.
as if post tribbers would take advice from folks who believe they will never see that day, ^_^

how likely is it that we see things the same with regards to the details in Rev or any eschatological book?
just about zip!

the people of the world, all but the elect,
will not even know that they are in the trib time.

THAT DAY (His post trib Coming) will come upon them as a thief, unaware, 1Thes5

The second misconception I want to deal with is the idea that people fear the tribulation more than they love Jesus. It's easy to look down on us and judge us because you think you're smarter, braver, more committed to serving God, and even more righteous, but that is a folly on you. As I've told others, you haven't walked in another man's shoes to know where God has taken them in their life nor can you hope to know what they are capable of enduring by the grace of God. This prevailing arrogance I see among post-tribbers is disappointing.
well, the arrogance is both ways, trust me.
folks seem to place more importance on their eschatological view
than they do with growing the "body" of Christ
pre tribbers are JUST as guilty as post tribbers, and the rest.

You say I don't deserve to escape martyrdom? Who made you God?
I realize that you are speaking to someone else,
but MY view, miind u not universal in post trib,
is that there are no specific martyrs mentioned in the end times
except for the two olive tree witnesses

in my view, if u are elect, then you are protected during that time
so as to come out the other side and be raptured/gathered to Christ

Don't you understand that He has a sovereign will and that He has blessed Americans so that we wouldn't have to be a part of the suffering that Christians living in other parts of the world have had to?
i see that, and we can eve read about it in the prophets

And IF God should say, "Come up here" should I say "Not so, Lord" simply because I don't feel like I've earned it by suffering through great tribulation?
you would not have a choice right?
if He says it, you go, even if it was post trib only.
but I don't think u understand the reference to come up hither, at all

it is about the sighting of the new moon
and the declaration of it by two witnesses, to the temple.
specifically, eschatologically, the new moon sighting of the Feast of Trumpets
at the Coming of the Lord

Not everyone who has ever died in Christ died a martyr. And excuse me for not looking forward to the tribulation when the hope that I see described in the word of God is what our ultimate goal is in the first place - to rest in the arms of Jesus Christ and let him wipe all of our tears away.
hey, post tribbers see that too, but not at a pre trib time...
rather, at the last day, at His Coming
which is after the tribulation of those days

Believe what you believe but don't make assumptions about what I fear, ignorance about the presence of God through tribulation, and my willingness to lay down my life for my Lord and Savior. So many post-tribbers carry this attitude towards pre-tribbers and I know one reason why is because the teachers teach them to. But change your way of thinking.
nobody has to teach us that.
pre trib escapism is based on a fear tactic
used by every prominent pre trib teacher

I was one.

pre trib acts as if God is not able to keep us through that time,
so to come out of it
even tho we have 100's of biblical examples to the contrary

We know that you don't want the Lord to call you Zeke ... but that is your own problem

And I can tell you that if you continue to reject His promise you will receive His scorn

It is OK with me if you want to take a ride in the tribulation

My guess is that you won't live long enough to even reach the dating of His coming tribulation ... but you might

You can honk your horn all you want and continue to reject His intent to immortalize His ecclesia just before He rocks the earth with His wrath ... but you cannot do a thing about it

You seem to be obsessed with attempting to prove otherwise for some reason .... but your obsession with the matter will not make any difference ... He is going to do this thing whether you like or not

The Elijah will be anointed by God as his captain that He wields.

Elijah prepares the bride rallying her for the final march towards martyrdom.

The ELECT follow the anointing to relay the bride for the final march as the queen of the south (earthly bride of Christ) to visit the King of the North who is the King of Salem/Solomon (Peace) the Christ.

The bride will be killed by the little horn, who is the beast of the bottomless Pitt AKA Satan. Once she is martyred the miraculous will happen when their dead bodies will be supernatural raised in front of all those who had pleasure in her demise.

Then the heavens are opened as hot winds come and consume as a tornado 10 times the power of a grade 5 tornado all the cities of the world.

Then the anointed Elijah and the ELECT are then supernaturally escorted by angels to a fortified volcanic maintain teaming with springs of water and vegetation to sustain the Battle Bows (Ancient of Days) end day army.

Then these will witness the beautiful paradise that earth was before they are hid within the chambers provided to them by the angels, so to hunker down until the indignation is passed that will see the doing away of man and beast, leaving only Satan's captains and armies who hid themselves beneath the ground in sheltered bases.

Isaiah 26:20-21
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers,
and shut thy doors about thee:
hide thyself as it were for a little moment,
until the indignation be overpast.
For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place
to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity:
the earth also shall disclose her blood,
and shall no more cover her slain.

Then as depicted in Joel 2:1-12 these men of war will fight the last battle against Satan and his hordes who encircle the camps of the saints at the foot of the volcanic mountain in the great day of battle of God almighty where the earth is destroyed, the day is pitch black darkness by the thick clouds, the rain is hard like monsoon, the air is thick and hard to breath, the air is filled with death because of all the dead corpses that liter the earth as an open graveyard. These are terrible days and people wished they were dead instead of living in this inhospitable circumstance on a completely destroyed planet.

Final coming of Christ is when Elijah says in a loud cry "LET THERE BE LIGHT".

Then the light pierces the thick clouds and in a flash the saints are translated from the erased earthly realm to the angelic realm to be reunited with Christ and his resurrected bride.

That is why I have been warning people that any earthly manifestation of Messiah will be the little horn guaranteed. Christ comes when all Adam One life is erased for ever and a new heaven and a new earth in the form of New Jerusalem comes in view for all those who had part in the resurrection of the dead that encompassed the Great Harvest of God from when the Old Covenant Saints tombs were opened by Christ. (Matthew 27:52-53)

Now you are are speaking very strange things Serpent that have no biblical moorings

What is you source? .... just curious

It cannot be the Lord's Word scripted in the Bible

.... looks to me like you have ventured off road

Or maybe you never got on in the first place

Give me more of your story so that I can study your MO

Visions friend visions.

For the bride there is no secret rapture, she will be martyred as the two symbolic witnesses of a John's Revelation.

The ELECT are evacuated away from harms way on a volcanic mountain.

Time Watcher said in post 181:

.... both are the same

Note that nothing requires that "judgment" and "testing" (or "trial") are the same.

Time Watcher said in post 181:

What you need to know is that there will be none of His ecclesia left on the earth on the day when the Lord's sets up the court room for the judgment of the tribulation ....

Note that the tribulation's first 5 seals (Revelation 6:1-11) won't be God's judgment or wrath, for after the first 4 seals, the martyrs of the 5th seal ask God when he's going to bring his judgment against the world (Revelation 6:10). And the killing of even more martyrs, which the 5th seal foretells will happen sometime after the 5th seal (Revelation 6:11), won't be God's judgment or wrath against those martyrs. So Jesus' unsealing the tribulation's seals (Revelation 6), the tribulation's first stage, doesn't mean that the events unsealed will be God's judgment or wrath, but that they will be permitted by God to happen at that time.

Also, the tribulation's 6th seal (Revelation 6:12-14) will happen sometime before the day of the Lord (Joel 2:31, Revelation 6:12), whereas the day of the Lord/Christ (2 Thessalonians 2:2) will begin at his 2nd coming (1 Corinthians 1:7-8; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10), which won't happen until Revelation 19:7 to 20:6, immediately after the future tribulation of Revelation chapters 6 to 18 and Matthew 24 (Matthew 24:29-31; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8). Similarly, the day of the Lord's wrath (Psalms 110:5) won't begin until Jesus' 2nd coming (Revelation 19:19-21).

So the people quoted at the 6th seal (Revelation 6:17), during only the first stage of the tribulation, could be just as mistaken as Job was when Job said that what was happening to him was God's wrath against him (Job 19:11). Just as what was happening to Job was actually Satan's wrath against him, not God's wrath, so the 6th seal could actually be Satan's wrath, not God's wrath. And just as the writer of the book of Job didn't go out of his way to correct Job's mistaken statement in Job 19:11, and just as the apostles John and Matthew didn't go out of their ways to correct the mistaken statements of the people they quoted in John 7:12b and Matthew 27:63a, so the apostle John could have not gone out of his way to correct the statement of the people he quoted in Revelation 6:17.

After the tribulation's 6th seal will occur its 7th seal (Revelation 8:1), out of which will come its 7 trumpets (Revelation 8:1-2). Note that nothing requires that any of the first 6 trumpets' events in Revelation chapters 8 and 9 will be God's wrath. The 5th trumpet's events will be the work of weird locust-like beings from the bottomless pit (Revelation 9:2-10) led by a fallen angel from the bottomless pit (Revelation 9:11). And the 6th trumpet's events to the end of Revelation 9 will be the work of weird horse-like beings led by 4 fallen angels previously bound at the Euphrates (Revelation 9:14-19). So even though good angels of God will sound the first 6 trumpets, this could be announcing God's allowing the wrath of Satan to destroy 1/3 of different things (Revelation 8:7-12, Revelation 9:15,18), just as Satan will subsequently, mid-tribulation, be allowed by God to cause 1/3 of the angels (i.e. his fallen angels) to be cast down to the earth permanently (Revelation 12:4,9).

Revelation chapters 8 and 9 will happen before the Antichrist's (the individual-man aspect of the beast's) future, literal 3.5-year worldwide Luciferian/Satanic reign (Revelation 13:4-18, Revelation 12:9). And the events in Revelation chapters 8 and 9 could be used by Satan to help prepare the world to welcome that reign. For what he could do is first take great pleasure in causing the destruction in each event, but then claim that the destruction isn't from him, but from YHWH, and that YHWH is a cruel tyrant god who hates mankind and only wants to make it suffer, while he (Satan, as "Lucifer") only wants the best for mankind (cf. Mark 8:33b). In this way, he could deceive the world into turning away from YHWH and instead worshipping him (the dragon) and the Antichrist (Revelation 13:4-18, Revelation 12:9). The Antichrist will utterly revile YHWH (Revelation 13:6, Daniel 11:36).

After the Antichrist's literal 3.5-year reign (Revelation 13:5-7) is declared legally over at the sounding of the tribulation's 7th trumpet (Revelation 11:15), the 7 plagues of the 7 vials of God's wrath will come out of the heavenly-temple opening of the 7th trumpet (Revelation 11:19, Revelation 15:5 to 16:1). The vials will then be poured out on the Antichrist's followers as God's judgment for their receiving the Antichrist's mark and worshipping his image (Revelation 16:2), and for their killing of people in the church (Revelation 16:6-7, Revelation 13:7-10, Revelation 14:12-13, Revelation 20:4-6, Matthew 24:9-13).

During the Antichrist's worldwide reign, people in the church will be hated and killed in every nation for refusing to renounce the name of Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:9-13). They will be beheaded for refusing to renounce the witness of Jesus Christ (Revelation 20:4), for refusing to accept the antichrist lies that Jesus himself isn't the Christ (1 John 2:22), and that Christ himself isn't in the flesh (2 John 1:7). They will be beheaded for refusing to renounce the sound doctrine of the Bible, the Word of God (Revelation 20:4; 2 Timothy 3:15 to 4:4), for refusing to depart from the Biblical faith and give heed instead to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils (1 Timothy 4:1-2). They will be beheaded for refusing to worship the Antichrist's image (Revelation 20:4, Revelation 13:15). And all of this will be Satan's wrath against the church (Revelation 12:17), not God's wrath, for the church isn't appointed to God's wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

Even when God's wrath comes in the 7 vials (Revelation 16), the tribulation's final stage, because the church isn't appointed to God's wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9), none of the vials will be directed at any of those in the church who will still be alive on the earth at that time, still waiting for Jesus' coming as a thief (Revelation 16:15). Instead, they will go into protective chambers which they will have prepared for themselves on the earth (Isaiah 26:20), just as Noah and his family went into the protective ark which they had prepared for themselves on the earth (Genesis 7:11,13).

Jesus will return right after the 7th and last vial is completed (Revelation 16:17,19, Revelation 19:2-21, Matthew 24:29-30), and he will bring the 2nd-coming wrath of God on the unsaved world (Revelation 19:15-21). But before that 2nd-coming wrath begins, the church will be caught up together/gathered together (raptured) (1 Thessalonians 4:17; 2 Thessalonians 2:1, Matthew 24:31) into the sky to hold a meeting in the air with the returned Jesus (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

At that meeting, Jesus will judge everyone in the church (Psalms 50:3-5, cf. Mark 13:27) by their works (2 Corinthians 5:10, Romans 2:6-8, Luke 12:45-48, Matthew 25:19-30). And then Jesus will marry in the clouds the obedient part of the church (Revelation 19:7-8, Matthew 25:1-12), those in the church (of all times) who "overcame" to the end (Revelation 3:5, Revelation 2:26). They will then mount white horses and come back down from the sky (the first heaven) with Jesus (Revelation 19:14) as he defeats the Antichrist (the individual-man aspect of the beast) and all the world's armies (Revelation 19:15-21). Jesus will then make the marriage supper of Revelation 19:9 for the resurrected and married obedient part of the church in the earthly Jerusalem (Isaiah 25:6-9; 1 Corinthians 15:54). Jesus and the obedient part of the church will then reign on the earth for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:4-6, Revelation 5:10, Revelation 2:26-29).

Time Watcher said in post 181:

And I have to tell you this again [Revelation 3:10-13 vs 3:15-22]

Regarding Revelation 3:10, the 7 epistles to 7 churches in Revelation chapters 2-3 were sent to 7 literal, first century AD local church congregations in 7 cities in the Roman province of "Asia" (Revelation 1:11) (what's today western Turkey).

Revelation 3:10 meant that the literal, first century AD local church congregation in the city of Philadelphia (Revelation 3:7) in the Roman province of "Asia" (Revelation 1:11) would be kept safe from a persecution which came upon all the Roman world during the time of the Roman emperor Domitian. For the apostle John saw his Revelation vision (Revelation 1:1) near the end of Domitian's reign (Irenaeus, Against Heresies 5:30:3c), and Domitian persecuted the church toward the end of his reign. The righteous, literal, first century AD local church congregation in the city of Smyrna (Revelation 2:8) in the Roman province of "Asia" (Revelation 1:11) had to suffer and die in that persecution over a period of 10 literal days (Revelation 2:10).

The first century AD church in Philadelphia didn't have to be taken out of the world to be kept safe from (Greek: "ek") that persecution. For, as Jesus prayed for the church in general: "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from (ek) the evil" (John 17:15,20). Also, the first century AD church in Philadelphia didn't have to be removed from time itself, or from the earth, in order to be kept from the "hour" (or the "time") of that persecution, just as, for example, a student in a classroom who has been excused from taking a test doesn't have to be removed from time itself, or from the classroom, in order to be excused from that time of testing. For he can be made to sit at his desk reading during that time, which won't be a time of testing for him.

Also, the first century AD persecution of Revelation 3:10 (and Revelation 2:10) was only "world"-wide in the sense of the Roman "world" (cf. Luke 2:1). So the subsequent reference to those on the "earth" in Revelation 3:10 should be understood as those Christians living on the earth during that time in the Roman Empire, as opposed to those Christians who had already died and gone to heaven (cf. 2 Corinthians 5:8, Philippians 1:21,23).

And I have to tell you this again [Revelation 3:10-13 vs 3:15-22]

Regarding Revelation 3:11. while Revelation 3:10 (like Revelation 2:10) was fulfilled in the first century AD, Jesus' 2nd coming spoken of in Revelation 3:11 hasn't yet been fulfilled. For it won't occur until Revelation 19:7-21, immediately after the future tribulation of Revelation chapters 6 to 18 and Matthew 24 (Matthew 24:29-31; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8). Also, even though some 2,000 years will have passed between the time that Revelation 3:11 was spoken in the first century AD and the time of the fulfillment of the 2nd coming in our future, Jesus will still come "quickly" (Revelation 3:11), just as all the preceding events of the future tribulation (Revelation chapters 6 to 18) will unfold "shortly" (Revelation 1:1,3) after John saw his vision. For from the viewpoint of God, even the passing of some 2,000 years is like the passing of only two days (2 Peter 3:8). Christians should look at the future fulfillment of Revelation chapters 6 to 19 from the viewpoint of God, not men, for whom the passing of some 2,000 years seems like a long delay for its fulfillment (2 Peter 3:9).

And I have to tell you this again [Revelation 3:10-13 vs 3:15-22]

Regarding Revelation 3:13, it didn't mean that Revelation 3:10 applied to all 7 of the literal, first century AD local church congregations in 7 cities in the Roman province of "Asia" (Revelation 1:11). For that would have contradicted Revelation 2:10. Instead, Revelation 3:13 was referring back to Revelation 3:12, which can apply to any Christian of any time.

One with oil .... or one with no oil [Matthew 25:1-13]

The 10-virgins parable (Matthew 25:1-13) shows that the marriage of the church to Jesus won't occur until his 2nd coming (Matthew 25:10), which Jesus had just finished saying won't occur until "immediately after the tribulation" (Matthew 24:29-31), just like Revelation 19:7 shows that the marriage won't occur until after the tribulation, shown in Revelation chapters 6 to 18. The parable's extra oil (Matthew 25:4,9b) could represent the continued good works of believers, by which they will be able to pass the judgment of the church by Jesus (Matthew 25:19-30, Romans 2:6-8) and enter the marriage of the church to Jesus at his 2nd coming (Matthew 25:10, Revelation 19:7-21).

The marriage supper (Revelation 19:9) won't have yet begun by the time of Revelation 19, which won't begin until after the future tribulation of Revelation chapters 6 to 18 and Matthew 24 (cf. Matthew 24:29-31; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8). For regarding the church, the marriage supper will be a literal feast in the earthly Jerusalem after the resurrection and marriage of the church at Jesus' 2nd coming (Isaiah 25:6-9; 1 Corinthians 15:54, Revelation 19:7 to 20:6; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-16; 1 Corinthians 15:21-23,51-54). While the church will enjoy a feast "of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined" (Isaiah 25:6), the birds will feast on the corpses of the world's armies defeated at Jesus' 2nd coming (Revelation 19:17-21).

Also, regarding the 10-virgins parable, in Matthew 25:6, "midnight" could represent mid-tribulation, when the abomination of desolation (possibly a standing, android image of the Antichrist) could be set up in the holy place (the inner sanctum) of a 3rd Jewish temple in Jerusalem (Matthew 24:15, Daniel 11:31). So when it says "at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh" (Matthew 25:6), this could mean that at the mid-tribulation point when the abomination of desolation is set up, the church will be given the knowledge of the date (as in the year, month, and day) of Jesus' 2nd coming. This date could be the 1,335th day after the abomination of desolation is set up (Daniel 12:11-12, cf. Revelation 16:15).

This prevailing arrogance I see among post-tribbers is disappointing.

Note that the idea that the rapture will be post-tribulation isn't based on arrogance, but on the Bible, which makes clear that Jesus won't come and gather together (rapture) the church until immediately after the future tribulation of Revelation chapters 6 to 18 and Matthew 24 (Matthew 24:29-31; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8). That's why the marriage of the church doesn't happen until Revelation 19:7, in connection with Jesus' 2nd coming and the bodily resurrection of the church at that time (Revelation 19:7 to 20:6; 1 Corinthians 15:21-23,51-53; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-16). Matthew 24:30-31 refers to the same 2nd coming of Jesus and gathering together (rapture) of the church as 2 Thessalonians 2:1, which refers to the same 2nd coming of Jesus and catching up together (rapture) of the church as 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17.

Jesus won't return and gather together (rapture) the church until sometime after there's a falling away (an apostasy) in the church, and the Antichrist sits in a 3rd Jewish temple in Jerusalem and proclaims himself God (2 Thessalonians 2:1-4, Daniel 11:31,36, Revelation 11:1-2, Revelation 13:4-8), and the abomination of desolation (possibly a standing, android image of the Antichrist) is set up in the holy place (the inner sanctum) of the 3rd Jewish temple (Matthew 24:15-31, Daniel 11:31). For when Jesus returns to gather together (and marry) the church he will destroy the Antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:1,8, Revelation 19:7,20). Before Jesus returns, the church will have to go through the future, literal 3.5 years of the Antichrist's worldwide reign (Revelation 13:5-10, Revelation 14:12-13, Revelation 20:4-6, Matthew 24:9-31).

At Jesus' 2nd coming (1 Thessalonians 4:15; 2 Thessalonians 2:1, Matthew 24:30), the church will be resurrected and caught up together/gathered together (raptured) (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2 Thessalonians 2:1, Matthew 24:31), not to remove the church from the earth (Proverbs 10:30, John 17:15,20), but to take the church only as high as the clouds of the sky to hold a meeting in the air with the returned Jesus (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

The mistaken idea of a pre-tribulation rapture is dangerous because when no pre-tribulation rapture occurs, and pre-trib believers begin to suffer in the tribulation, they could think that God has somehow been defeated by Satan, that Satan by his power has caused a pre-trib rapture not to happen despite God wanting one to. Or they could think that God has cruelly broken his (supposed) promise, that he has pulled the rug out from under them, that he cruelly lied to them and must now be laughing at their surprise and suffering (Proverbs 1:26), so that in their rage they could curse God and commit apostasy during the tribulation (Isaiah 8:21-22, Matthew 24:9-13, Matthew 13:21), to the ultimate loss of their salvation (Hebrews 6:4-8, John 15:6; 2 Timothy 2:12).

And even if they instead rightly think, "Okay, we must have just been mistaken in thinking that the rapture was supposed to be pre-trib. Satan hasn't defeated God, and God didn't lie to us", nonetheless, because they'd held so strongly to the pre-trib idea for so long, their minds could be completely unprepared to face the long tribulation that lies ahead of them (just as holding too strongly to the mistaken idea of preterism, or historicism, or symbolicism, or spiritualism, could leave some believers less prepared mentally to endure the future tribulation).

The Bible gives those in the church clear warning ahead of time about everything that they're going to have to face during the future tribulation (Mark 13:23, Revelation chapters 6 to 18, Revelation 1:1, Revelation 22:16), so that they can be better prepared mentally not to be blindsided (1 Peter 4:12-13) or deceived by anything that's coming (Matthew 24:4-5,23-25, Revelation 13:13-18, Revelation 19:20), and so that they can be better prepared mentally to endure the future tribulation with patience and faith to the end (Matthew 24:9-13, Revelation 13:7-10, Revelation 14:12-13, Revelation 20:4-6), that is, until death or until Jesus returns immediately after the tribulation (Matthew 24:29-31, Revelation 19:2 to 20:6; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8).

As an analogy of this mental preparation, imagine that some kids were at a summer camp and their counselor told them: "Tomorrow there's going to be a long, hard hike". The kids walked away and started talking among themselves. One of them said: "Well, he didn't say that we all have to go on that hike, right?" And a second kid said: "And he didn't say that we all have to go the whole distance". But a third kid said: "I'm pretty sure that he meant the hike's whole distance is for all of us. He didn't say that there's going to be a long, hard hike for only some of us, and a day of goofing off, or only a short, easy hike for others of us". But the first kid answered: "Nah, we don't have to go on that hike. I'm going fishing tomorrow". And the second kid answered: "We all don't have to go the whole distance". But the third kid answered: "Don't be so sure, you two. I'm going to bed early, so I'll be all fresh and ready for the whole distance of the hike".

The next day, at the morning camp meeting, the first kid brought his fishing pole and was all set for a day of fishing. But the third kid brought his sturdy hiking boots and a big canteen of water and was all mentally prepared for a long day of hard hiking. The counselor then told the kids: "Okay, in a few minutes we're all going to start on the hike I told you about, so make sure you've got everything you need". The first kid felt sick to his stomach when he heard that. He dropped his fishing pole and sat down on the ground and started crying like a baby. He just couldn't imagine starting on a long, hard hike after he'd been all set for a day of just sitting around fishing. But he was forced to go on the whole hike anyway, and this made him and the second kid (who thought that he wouldn't have to go the whole distance) so mad at the counselor that they grumbled against him to the other kids during the hike, cursing him out as a cruel taskmaster (cf. Isaiah 8:21-22, Matthew 24:9-13, Matthew 13:21).

But the third kid took the whole hike in stride (cf. Revelation 14:12, Revelation 13:10), and stuck up for the counselor the whole time, even though the third kid suffered awfully from blisters during the hike. The counselor, even though he was at the head of the hiking line, could overhear what the kids said behind him. After the hike was over, he made sure to reward the third kid by giving him as a gift the counselor's own fishing pole, and by making sure that the third kid was assigned day after day to only the most enviable camp duties, like getting to build and light the nightly campfire, and getting to make the evening camp announcements over the camp's PA system. But the counselor made sure to assign the first and second kids to the worst kitchen- and latrine-cleaning duties day after day.
