as awful as it is, shots like this give me hope, because try as hard as they might, Muslims will never win. this just shows how weak they are and how strong the Christian faith is.

The Coptic Orthodox Pope, HH Tawadrous II (As said in anticipation for the attacks ) made a statement about the attacks on churches this week, saying that “this had been expected and, as Egyptians and Christians, we are considering our church buildings as a sacrifice to be made for our beloved Egypt”. Moreover, other church leaders have made similar statements, stressing that church buildings don't make the Church but the Church is the Body of Christ, made of people who have their faith in Him, and that is getting stronger as it passes through these challenging times. Additionally, it cannot be forgotten that some Muslims went to protect churches and, in return, many Christians then sent messages to their fellow Muslim citizens saying, “buildings can be rebuilt again, but you are priceless, so stay safe, and don't worry about the churches”. Moreover, Egyptian government also announced today that the State would take the financial responsibility for the rebuilding of damaged churches.

The covenant you may be thinking of is only for ST Katherine's Monastery in the Sinai. Also the doctrine where Muslims can lie in order to conceal their faith and intensions ( I forget the word) is used in many ways. Countless western women have fallen for this as marriage to non believing secular women is common.
I read a text copy of the Covenant with St. Catherine's monastery, and it sounds like it is talking about protecting Christians everywhere.

My impression is that Mohammed had a certain amount of respect for Christianity. Burning down churches is not supposed to be part of the deal. Not that it's for me to tell them what their religion says or promote it, but there are alot of indicators that their religion is supposed to tolerate Christianity for what it's worth.

The pictures of the church are sad, and it would be interesting to hear if moderate Muslim voices have a different opinion about this event. I remember that dissidents were suggesting it was actually Mubarak's "secular" government that attacked the churches back in late 2011, and reading over the evidence it sounded like they had something to do with it.

Regards.

Muslims whole purpose is to kill anybody that isn't a muslim. It's in their religious book. I remember reading an article and a group of muslims were killing innocent people when asked why, they said "our god commands us to"

They tend to say "glory to allah" as they kill others.
