Actually MSNBC is doing better than CNN in many time periods.

Fox is doing better than both of them combined, but maybe liberals are more likely to get their news from a variety of news sources--newspapers, online, etc. And maybe liberals watch less TV (I have never known conservatives who gave up TV's in their homes, but I've known a number of liberals who have.)

I happen to like MSNBC (although I listen to it on satellite radio driving more than I watch it on TV. I watch "Morning Joe" a little.)

You don't say.

Gee, I would have never pegged you as such.;)

No surprise with CNN and their ratings tank. They have become more and more like MSNBC. It appears they don't even try to hide their bias anymore. Most people can see through their 'news' agenda.

I suspect ABC, CBS and NBC will see their 'news' ratings continue to fall as well. Unless these people wake up and start actually reporting fairly.

Adopting the Fox News model?

:D:doh:

I feel like I'm getting an IV drip of brain poison when I see Fox News (broadcast in my gym locker room and my dentist's office...at the dentist's I usually change the station, after all, I'm at the dentist's, isn't that punishment enough?)

I don't have TV---network or cable---so I won't be seeing Al-Jazeera; but it can't possibly be any worse or propaganda-driven than the All Barack Channel (ABC), the Neverending Barack Channel (NBC), the Communist Broadcasting System (CBS), and the Communist News Network (CNN).

Fantine said:

Gee, I wonder why. ^_^ Maybe it's because it's virtually the only network news source with a differing spin.

CBS: The sky is green!
NBC: The sky is green!
ABC: The sky is green!
CNN: The sky is green!
NYT: The sky is green!
TIME: The sky is green!
FOX: The sky is blue. Obviously blue, no matter what anyone else says. To any impartial, objective observer, the sky is definitely blue.

When the spin is filled with hate, venom, and an obvious bias against average Americans, I'll take the other choices, thank you.

The sky is polluted. The atmosphere is suffering from global warming. Saying, "the sky is blue, all's right with the world," is just a shill of big business spewing a smoke screen of propaganda.

And you think you are getting better with MSNBC other then just spin the opposite direction?

I don't watch either because quite honestly it's not news it's just people telling each other what they already believe. Fox and MSNBC are a big part of what's wrong with the American political system.

Mostly I'll read various internet sources for my news and/or watch the local news. If there is something really big breaking for up to the minute coverage then I will begrudgingly watch CNN.

Quite frankly I'm think I'm gonna give Al Jezeera a try. If they are heavily biased I'll figure it out pretty quickly and stop watching them.

Interesting... as someone who has had to listen to climate change which has been spinning since the 50's and we know the chemicals arent the same since then on crops - as someone who can see the whole world changing its policies on how to 'act' on climate change [where did global warming go?] - i see the changes getting worse and not better.

The Europeans, Americas, and in fact world wide vis UN - have made effective changes to 'arm ourselves' against climate change.

My question is - why isnt it helping?

Every politician - and yes conservatives too - have fell in line.
We have recylcing, we have put ethanol [that burns faster and causes animals and humans to get less food or pay a much higher price] we have seen more 'survivalists' using green energy, we have seen so much effort to avoid 'climate change' and yet - the more we do - the worse it gets.

Here's something else to consider - which seems to go by the wayside completely!

The biggest proponents to 'conserving' are the worst energy hogs going.
Al Gore - was the worst energy hog in the whole radius - until ppl began to notice. [mind you while he was selling carbon offsets] he used the most energy.

Obama runs around the globe on vacations using ample energy in the fuel. Using it like there is no tomorrow. Not in the slightest bit interested he ought to 'act' as he tells us.
'O Americans are fuel hogs...' yet he is the worst.

And then they make money off this 'green energy' cos the 90 million he put in green - was somehow a shell of an organization that did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Yet where did the money go?
Carbon offsets - a big joke.

What i see - and should be plainly obvious to all - but isnt. The same green politicians - write in the worst bills - that force on us the worst sins..
The same so called concerned - have removed God - gave sinners incredible rights to sin - and then sit back - making everyone else wonder - why is the world in apocalyptic events?

Really?

Jesus said because of gross iniquity - for those who dont understand - is great sin - compassion will run cold. And it has. The Church will be persecuted in the last days... and it is. And it will increase.

Meantime - NOBODY - will take the veil off their eyes to see everything Jesus said would happen - is happening and its not about climate change - as in secular ways. Its about the spiritual warfare going on.

but suit yourself - ignore me. I am just someone who isnt going to be heard anyway.

YOU want to change the weather - stop aiding and abetting men and women who opt for legislation that causes us all to accept the unacceptable sins God doesnt want on earth.

Thats that in a nutshell.

When all the public see's for decades is a left leaning news cast they become conditioned to see everything from that angle. 'Left' looks normal to them and as such when a news cast comes along that is 'straight'(Fox News for example) it will appear to be leaning right. But if you look closely and objectively... it's really not.

Yes... I remember this a bit. CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN and the other democrat spin machines didn't talk about it much.... how Al Gore, Mr. Environment, sold out to 'big oil' and terrorist sympathisers.

Al Jez may have a Northern Africa/Near Eastern centric focus on it's news but it's hardly terrorist sympathetic and I don't know what it has to do with big oil.

and what, exactly do you have against someone making a profits ?

Snipped to portion being addressed.

Add the Blaze to that! (An added bonus is that the Blaze doesn't have me so angry all the time. It has other things besides just the news commentaries, and their specials on the Mideast are quite informative--it's refreshing to have someone with actual foreign security experience, rather than just a "talking head", report on matters.)

And for a fairly new cable station, it's doing tremendously. Has a whole bunch of cable providers adding them to their line up.

Their signature statement? The truth lives here.

Whatever works for you, Fantine. If you really believe that's what Fox News is all about, you hang right onto that, nice and tight.

Everybody's gotta have something to hang onto.

They can air and advertise all they want. It won't make a difference to me, because I won't be watching.
Few do. It's a lot of repeats for the most part. You got the news in blurps but it is definitely not unbiased reporting. It's comfort TV for some I suppose.

I've heard and read more of the opposite. Far more Catholic home-educators and conservatives drop the TV; as too often its been proved that Cable and the degradation on their often make TV into, as one priest called in a sermon some years ago, 'Satan's box'. So two can play at that game. :smoke:

I happen to like MSNBC (although I listen to it on satellite radio driving more than I watch it on TV. I watch "Morning Joe" a little.)

I happen to watch Cable rather sparingly.

I read Yahoo.com, Foxnews.com, I sometimes check MSNBC.com; I'll look at 'Beforeitsnews', Alex Jones, Michael Savage, I'll listen to NPR radio, Classic music radio on my local classical music PBS station, etc.

Often really, I simply end up reading my local newspaper, a leftist rag; as, it is generally the closest thing on hand half-of-the-time.

I used to enjoy watching 'LinkTV'; I particularly liked the documentary, 'Affluenza'.
I watch the world music programs. A few documentaries but as I said, those 3 channels seems to be on repeat loops.
