The doc hasn't confirmed a date for the surgery yet. But we are hopeful by Thursday of this week.

Thanks for your continued prayers everyone.
Keep us updated. Praying he comes through like a champ.:crossrc:

It happened on Tuesday.

He will require quadruple bypass surgery.

The good news is he's still a strong man... in decent shape... and has a good attitude. The bad news is... it's a bit of a waiting game(there's a doctor shortage here and you have to wait your turn - so to speak) and we're still not sure when he can get his surgery... the doc initially says next week some time. Hoping to find out tomorrow when the doc can perform the surgery(This is where I envy the USA in your current system... if he was in the US he would be recovering from the surgery by now).

If you could please offer a prayer for him... he could use it.

Please join me in prayer...
May the Lord grant a speedy scheduling and excellence/precision from the doctors and nurses. May Mom feel His Peace during this time. Amen!

Lord I pray for Hsilgne's father. I pray healing Lord and I pray that you will see that his healthcare provides provide the care that he needs.

Any news? Will he be going in tomorrow? Continued prayers.

Ahhh Fooey. They moved it again I guess. Basically they didn't say anything. They just didn't show up to transport him.

You see, he has to be transported to a different hospital(about an hour and a half away) when a 'slot' becomes available for his surgery. On Tuesday the doc had said they planned on transporting him Wednesday... which gave us the impression surgery would be Thursday. Wednesday came and went... no transport. So the doc now says it could be any day now for his transport...

Know that waiting too. But there is usually a very good reason. (Perhaps the doctor is waiting for better odds--less risks--for his patient, your Dad. He just doesn't want to say until he actually *has* to.)

Yes, I know that many hospitals are operating at "full capacity" (heard the warnings over the loudspeakers of both hospitals my husband was at for weeks on end), but usually a small window of stabilization needs to be in place before transport. When the hospital staff decide that that "window" has been reached, things go so fast as to leave a person spinning.

Continued prayers.

Thank all of you for your prayers. Dad had his surgery yesterday and it was a success. He is still in the ICU but they expect that they will be able to move him out into a 'normal' recovery room today assuming everything continues to go well.

:)

The Lord is GOOD!
