CS Lewis discussed this in an essay - as always, brilliant.
He discussed the possibilities of unFallen races - expressed in his "space trilogy", Fallen races that could have similar or different means of redemption by God, and I think even unredeemable creatures, but I'm fuzzy on that one. It's been more than eight years since I read those essays. Wish I could remember its name and free loclocation on the Net for you.
I wonder what paradise will be like?
Will we have all this post-modern technology?
Or with a glorified body, will all this futuristic technology be unnecessary, and then will we gratefully forget all that earthly vain stuff?
I'm reminded of others who ask "Why would poets in a glorified state (fully freed from themselves and truly free to fully be themselves) not write poetry and gadget makers make gadgets--as a form of worship integrated with their personalities?" For exposure to the presence of God (and the perfected images, as well as the rest of creation, reflecting that glory) would certainly generate the need for an outlet of worship and being all the creature one is created to be would be a good way to declare "Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts. The whole earth is full of his glory."Technology is the product of our fallen disfigured mind. We've seen more bad than good from It since humanity has started obsessing over it.
.
I fail to see how we will have It after the coming of Christ
2 Kings 2:11
As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.
2 Kings 2:10-122 Kings 2
2 Kings 6:16-18/2 Kings 6
16 Dont be afraid, the prophet answered. Those who are with us are more than those who are with them. 17 And Elisha prayed, Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see. Then the LORD opened the servants eyes, and he looked and saw the hillsfull of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18 As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, Strike this army with blindness. So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.
Revelation 19:11
[ The Heavenly Warrior Defeats the Beast ] I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter.[] He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
Revelation 19:10-12
What is this capital "It" of which you speak?

well, I found out a little while ago that they apparently made the moon, and are beaming false stuff to us into our minds from said moon.
That's OK. My aluminum-foil hat protects me.
1.99 at Walmart. You can make 'em triple thick for a really effective Faraday cage
Oh, good point.
What we need is a non-reptilian source of transparent aluminum. Only THEN can we be sure...
Good review and thanks for sharing that oneHere is an Orthodox view about how we are to deal with possible aliens. Written by Fr. John Romanides, its the fifth in a series of articles by theologians from various churches.
