One does not live forever so it is necessary to pace one's self and avoid time wasting web pages. Besides those anti-catholic web pages are predictable. And if you want to know what the Catholic Church teaches why not read the CCC? It is shorter than all those interminable lists of alleged errors and the weird quotes used to 'prove' them. I tried reading Ellen White's anti-catholic book (the great controversy) and it is quite wearying. Almost like reading Jehovah's witness books except that theirs are much shorter.

It's only one page, so if that is so tiring to you, perhaps you should lie down. I figured I would get this response though. So predictable.

Yes, just one page of unwanted propaganda. I declined the invitation to read it and I haven't seen anything that makes me want to reconsider.

What would your reaction be if I refused to read anything that was posted as a proof or source for a claim if that source was anti-Calvinist in nature? Would you still take me seriously? This is exactly what you are doing. If Roman Catholicism is wrong, why on God's green earth would its wrongness be explained in a Catholic website? You people make no sense at all. You want me to back up my claim, and when I do you refuse to even read what I post. Good grief.

I would only know that you didn't read it if you told me.
Would you still take me seriously?
I do not know what to say in response to this.
This is exactly what you are doing.
One knows what one am doing.

Since one is not of the opinion that the Catholic Church's dogma is wrong one has little sympathy for such a view.
You people make no sense at all.
It is a pleasure to be among the "you people" who brought to the word the Christian bible.
You want me to back up my claim, and when I do you refuse to even read what I post. Good grief.
Quoting anti-catholic web sites is not proof.

I would still take you serious. Seems just yesterday you said, " I don't give a rip what Calvin says..." and I still see you as a serious Calvinist. After a while, anti-(insert belief here) writings become boring dribble. After you've read ten or twelve it's like listening to a parrot.

Anti-___ documents / websites can have truth in them, that is my point. But thanks for the reply.

Jesus Himself commanded us to be baptized, but He said baptism should follow salvation. In Jesus' instruction on baptism, it is clear that baptism follows believing. "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved..." (Mark 16:15,16). Now notice that baptism follows believing. You have to believe before you are baptized. It has become the tradition to baptize children when they are eight days old. How can you believe when you are eight days old?

I do not know of a tradition demanding baptism at 8 days of age. The old testament provision regarding circumcision at 8 days may be used in some circles as a guide, I guess, but that is circumcision and baptism is not the same thing although it is related - both being signs of their respective covenants.

Just have to back peddle a little to Mk.9:36, ie, child was most likely below 3 years of age, eg, I dunk um right out of the womb. Good to hear your voice again.
