I suppose that's a little extreme. I'd rather you just obey your Maker.

Gay people do "obey our Maker," who made us the way we are. To pretend to be some straight person, to thrust ourself into a hateful lie of a closet, is to lie about who we are and spit in the face of God.

The real God, mind you.

And as for "making a point," I responded to you in kind. The fact is that almost all pedophiles are heterosexual, even male pedophiles who pray on young boys. If you knew anything about pedophilia, you'd know that it is not a condition that is about sexual attraction, but about physical domination. For most pedophiles the gender of child involved is 100% irrelevent.

Children are many times more likely to be by their own father than by any gay person.

instead they should be praying for their religion to come back in line with true christianity.
Go read every Christian document written between 33 AD and 800 AD and contrast it with what Martin Luther and John Calvin invented in the 16th century, and then come back and tell us what "true" Christianity is.

The fact is, any church that proclaims Jesus Christ as Lord, God, and Savior is a "true" Christian body. they may disagree doctrinally, but the core remains the same.

The "righteous indignation" by typically Fundamentalist believers breaks my heart. A homosexual no more chooses to be gay than I chose a fat rear end. If I had anything to say about it, I'd have a gorgeous size-six figure (and maybe even curly hair, too...as long as I'm dreaming!)

You learn to live with what you've got. And you also learn to live with what others have, too. I'm not here to judge, I have enough to do.

If I discovered that a close friend was gay, I'd figure that friend would need all the support and understanding I could give. Isn't there enough slandering, back-biting, and hatred in the world today?

This is exactly the kind of attitude more christians need, VOW, you're a credit to your religion.

I am a fundamentalist and certainly do not hate homosexuals. I do hate sin though. It is one thing to have to be stuck with such feelings, but another to act on them. We all are tempted in some way or another. Some are tempted with money. Who is not born with that? Some are tempted with lying. Some are born with the need(?) to commit adultry or fornication (sex outside of marriage).
It is perfectly natural to be born with certain leanings and tendencies. But they do not become sins, until we act upon them.
It is ok to be born homosexual. You cannot help that. Some are molested as children and become homosexual through that evil means, but we are not to act out our passions of lust of any kind;
be it power, money, work, intelligence, food, stealing, whatever.
Jesus Christ set the example. He loved the sinners, but he always told them to go and sin no more.

Righteous indignation is just another attempt to conceal pride in their hearts.

They should be loved and supported all the way, condemming the sin and not the sinner. loving them as Jesus loved them.
It is ok to have righteous indignation only if the one(s) sinning insist it is ok to sin or although it is clearly stated in the Scriptures that it is a sin and he/she/they insist it is ok anyway. Some are trying to gain special rights and/or recognition because they wish to act out on their sin and politicians being the worst of all are giving in to their demands for the sake of other lusts, power and pride.

This is a complete untruth, being molested is evil and causes mental scarring an dconfusion though it is unable to change something as fundamental as attraction.

Homosexuals definately choose their life style. They should choose to abstain, instead of doing a thing that God says He hates. If a man has uncontrollable sexual desires, then he should take a (one) wife. But the bible indicates that it much better to remain single. Those who choose marriage will have many more troubles in this life. So therefore - these homosexuals do have a choice. They weren't born that way, but they may have a generational curse. If so, Jesus is the one who can deliver them. There will be NO EXCUSES.

Ok, the Word of God says that homosexuality is wrong. That is what we should be going by, His Word. BUT, Jesus loved the sinner and hated the sin, which is what we are suppose to do. Also remember that in God's eyes no sin is worse then another. If some one commits murder and I lie to some one, each is equal, one is not worse then another. So instead of pointing fingers, just love the way Jesus did and pray for them, as well for yourself.

Romans1:26,27 Catholic Edition
God therefore delivered them up to disgraceful passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural,
and the men gave up natural intercourse with women and burned with lust for one another. Men did shameful things with men, and thus received in their own persons the penalty for their perversity.

God calls it sexual perversion. I do not believe anyone is "born gay." It is an excuse to cover up a guilty conscience, If they were actually born gay then they are guiltless? I guess God is mistaken for He calls it an abominable deed. (Leviticus20:13)

No Christian should be whishy washy to any kind of sin. We should help all people to realize the truth, and come to Christ. Like others have said love the sinner hate the sin!

someone did say earlier that some of these priests that were molesting children are just transferred..that is a sad fact, I do know of someone, a priest who got a woman pregnant, and he was just transferred, it just seems like the church should take on some disciplinary measures opposed to transferring these men. I understand some of them are not proven and are allegations, but in the end it is the children who suffer. A good friend of mine is a priest, he has been molested as a child and he was molested by others in seminary, although he is not a pedophile, he does suffer from abuse syndrome and gets confused, and has had sex with various women. He obviously needs help and once his vows were broken, I think he should have left the priesthood...he is by no means doing the right thing, but I pray for him...because he is so damaged, as a result of his past....

Hi Amie,
This must hit pretty close to home. I seek not to judge, but to expose. Enough is enough. With all of our modern technologies, and all of our knowledge, how can we become so blind?? I can almost hear my Father now, saying "My people perish for lack of knowledge. You say you are wise, but you are a fool, and rich but you are poor and naked.".
