More specifically it is a cut of pork.Of course it is right and you know it. bacon is a cut of meat
More specifically it is a cut of pork.
Which post?I feel like you are maching me.
This is a perfect example of you missing the entire point of my comment, and concentrating on a part so irrelevant that I am laughing over this conversation.
Come back when you decide to actually address the point of my post.
I see you are very interested in having an intellectual discussion.
You asked me to comment on the other content of your post, yet you will not tell me which post so that I can comment. That does not show much interest in having any kind of discussion. You telling me that it is wrong to say bacon is meat is intelligent discussion?
whatever you say, Einstein.
But he didn't call him the king of pork, he called him the king of bacon. IMO, that's intended in part to take a shot at his weight. When I first read the title to this thread, I didn't think "Rand Paul criticized Christie for pork-barrel spending" I immediately thought "Paul called Christie fat".
Bacon is pork....
Pigs should fly ...Funny we never hear the politicians talking about their bills full of bacon.
It is called pork barrel spending, not bacon barrel.
Rand Paul should apologize for his insulting comment.
I wonder how many people would be upset with this comment if Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert made it (if it even was a fat joke, which I doubt)? In fact I remember Stewart making an indisputable fat joke about Christie.
If you don't understand the distinction perhaps you should ask yourself a question:
Is John Stewart a US senator?
It's probably inappropriate both for Paul to call Christie the king of bacon both in the literal sense making a fat joke about him and in the figurative sense that he is big on pork barrel spending.
Christie asked for an entirely appropriate disaster relief bill to be passed for his state, he isn't responcable for the Pork that the legislature attached to it (nor is he in position to do anything about it).
This is a tiff because the two will be running against each other for President soon, and it's a bit early for fat jokes.
And it is liberals here who are defending Christie.Aren't we getting used to the republican politicians personally insulting others by now? At least in this case the republican is going after one of his own.
And it is liberals here who are defending Christie.
Now, just why would any self-respecting liberal defend Chris Christie?
I rest my case. You don't have the first clue about me, or liberals. We accept and respect reasonable republicans. You will never understand this.
