I have a strong want and urge to start online college to get a bachelors to get into seminary and the chaplain corps... but is this from God or is it mysticism, relying on my feelings... and I'm nervous and even scared to go through with it... I also feel so unworthy. The army needs chaplains that speak biblical truth... and I really think I want to answer that call.

I suppose a good thing to start with is asking yourself WHY you want to be a minister, is it because you want to work for the kingdom of God (serving God and other people) or is the motive more about YOU (You get to be "someone" etc)?
If it's not so much about you, then I guess you should go for it!

I'd say begin preparing. If it's meant to happen it will. Our former assistant pastor once shared how he really had no other choice than to enter the ministry, all other doors were eventually closed to him.

That's basically what happened to me.

I was looking through my Army education website at available schools and behold, Concordia ST Louis was there offering Pre-seminary and a Bachalors Degree in Theology. Hopefully I am accepted come Monday, not to mention I still have to see what my Pastor has to say.

I've heard a number of Pastors say that the Holy Spirit gave them no choice.;)

 Taking the courses may help you in discerning the call as well, and will serve you well despite the outcome.:)

So, the school that's accepting me is University of Phoenix Online, I'm leaning towards a Bachelor of science in Human Services Family and Children seems to be good. I was also leaning towards Bachelors of Science in English... I'm so not sure. Ha ha ha. Is there a list that I can see of what schools are accepted by Concordia?
