He looked pretty good today....no hoarseness, his voice was stronger, and his vital signs are good.
He has pain when he moves, but is generally kept comfortable with pain and nausea meds.
He is taking liquids by mouth and tolerating it well (and still has a few IVs).
They got him out of bed to freshen up and sit in the chair; 30 min was all he could take.
He dozed off and on all afternoon, and said a few words in between.
He is weak and tires very easily.

It was surprising to me to find out...by personal experience how much of our strength comes from our colon health.
May I ask Jim's age?
You must remember what he has had done...the meds, surgery, not much to eat.
So hard to see strong hubby down and weak...just is not the usuall picture for me. Not for you either.

My husband had two hip transplants, about two months apart, a few years ago. Like Jim, it was difficult for him for the first few days. I do pray Jim will soon be feeling much better all round and healing very well, as my husband did.
