I like popping this question up since the reaction is more interesting.

Asexuality for those who do not know is the lack of sexual attraction.

Much like how a theist believes in some sort of god a sexual person is a person with some sort of sexuality. But an asexual is like an atheist and has no sexuality just like an atheist has no faith in a god.

Asexuality is outside of both heterosexuality and homosexuality as it has nothing in common with either. Is this abnormal sexual preference(or lack there of) considered a sin?

Is my lack of sexual interest immoral or wrong in the Christian faith?

Probably the closest thing I've seen to it being perceived as a 'sin' is in the context of Christian marriage, when a spouse who isn't into sex is expected to engage in it anyway. Being asexual might not be wrong outside of marriage, in their view, but acting on that asexuality within marriage by refusing sex could potentially cause problems that some might label “sin”.

I don't think its a sin, but I think those who have it should really consider staying single unless they marry someone else like themselves. Sex is part of a marriage and if my wife was asexual I would go nuts. Even if she let me have sex for my satisfaction I wouldn't be happy. I want the person I am wtih to actually enjoy it too or else its like making love to a rock.

I know this because an ex I had was like that 90% of the time. She would be on her cell or talking about random stuff. Never got into it. Felt boring to me after awhile because theres no real bonding.

I do not see why two asexual people cannot get married.

There are many asexuals whoa re aromantic meaning they have no romantic interest like myself.
Well to be honest I am mostly aromantic to begin with

Its really up to the individual. There are different levels of asexuality from what I understand. Some asexuals who have romantic feels but no sexual desire find themselves experiencing sexual desire after being with someone for over a year or maybe even more. I think they are still trying to understand asexuality and the different levels/types.

It´s not the asexuality which is a sin - it´s the asexual lifestyle.

I don't care about religious views. Asexuality (any sexuality) by itself is not something wrong. Only actions, that are result of any particular sexuality, can be wrong. For (extreme) example, pedophilia by itself is not wrong, though a pedophile acting upon his/her desires is doing wrong.

A parallel. Having AIDS is not wrong (although it is not good either), but knowing you have AIDS and acting in a way that makes more AIDS victims is wrong.

Anyway, being asexual is not wrong, but promoting and trying to spread it is.

I am with you brother. I dont know if I would call myself aromantic but I am asexual. I would love to find a good friend to spend the rest of my life with though. Just no sex.

Yes. You're doing it wrong, cause what Christians actually want you to do is have sexual desires so that one day you'll be tempted to act on those sexual desires, so that said Christians can finally start hypocritically mocking you for giving in to temptation and telling you that you're going to hell.

Either that, or no.

You decide.

Anyway, being asexual is not wrong, but promoting and trying to spread it is.

"Promoting" or "spreading" asexuality works just as well as promoting or spreading hetero or homosexuality.

ie: it doesn't work at all. Asexuality is not a communicable sexuality :p (wow, that'd be something though wouldn't it?)

While some humans experience a small amount of fluidity with their sexualities, not many can and the vast majority of human beings would be unable to go from being sexually attracted to other humans to being asexual even if they wanted to.

It'd be like throwing a pebble at a brick wall and expecting it to move.
