No. One possible mechanism for the rapid separation of continents in Peleg's day (about 44, 4500 years ago) may be an acceleration or even start of rotation of the earth. One should look at what we know. Can you rule that out for us? Not that I care.

You NEED to know what the time and space in that area are before knowing distance. Using parallax from earth space and time cannot be a measure of distance unless the time and space at the observed point are the same as here!
Science did not know about the rings. They did not know what kind of star even was involved, they scrambled after the fact to model different earth based law, time and space scenarios to cook up what sort it 'must have been'. Is that right?

No, we can directly observe the time and space in that region, and they are the same as it is here.
That is false. Any changes would show up in the calculations.
