We met through the app Foursquare... Haha. I stole his "mayorship" from a church. He added me on Twitter, then Facebook. We had a bunch of mutual friends, and my accountability partner/best friend went to high school with him at the Christian school they attended. All 3 of us went hiking in March 2011. We started dating May 2011. Engaged January 2012. Married April 2012. Just celebrated our one year marriage anniversary, and heading to our 2 years together next month. People say it happened so fast, but we don't care. When you know it's the Lord's plan, why wait?!

That doesn't sound that fast at all to me. My wife and I had that first conversation together on February 15th. I proposed in July and went up to clear things and make plans with her parents about a month or so later. We got married in December the same year.

I think you are the first person to say that besides our families! They were crazy supportive of us getting married so "soon". Seemed like all of our friends and other people that have asked how long it took for us to get married all thought it was too soon. We thought it was just the right amount of time. And at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

Yeah everyone has their own views on how fast or slow this subject should go. I say its up to the couple. In the end like you said it only matters what you think. I met my wife in Nov 2011, got engaged a month later. Got married march of 2013. We talked ALOT even before the engagement. Unlike alot of couples who rush everything then talk once married lol. So we knew what we were getting into and felt also that the time was right. It felt like God was blessing us.

I will say its still hard to tell anyone how fast we did this because odds are they make snide remarks.

Christian forum like this one about 11 1/2 years ago. We quickly became friends and then about 5 months later, we discovered we were crazy in love with each other. I moved to his city 3 months later, we got engaged 6 months after that and married a year and a half after that.
Coming up on 9 years married at the end of July.

I was dating his roommate who was mainly a friend, fellow teacher, and a college classmate. (Had graduated by then)..He introduced us and after that we double dated with him and one of my friends. Had a great time talking about our mutual time in Alaska, bears, camping, etc. But the friend and my friend did not hit it off at all. But we started seeing each other on a regular basis after that. Got engaged by the end of the summer and a year after we had met we married. That was over 50 years ago and we are still together. I think it was all engineered by the Lord. :amen:

What is the "app Foursquare"? Asking because we attend the Foursquare church so wondering if that is what you mean.

Sounds to me like God brought you two together.

blessings.

I met my husband on my very first job as a waitress. I was a naive girl from the farm but knew instant love when I saw it! :) I immediately fell in love with him, his blue eyes and his beautiful nose, blonde hair and his overall inventory (inside and out) was very engaging!:) I was fortunate enough to be standing right where I was when he asked for coffee. I served him a cup and kept coming over with five refills (refills were free at the time). I wasn't aware that my boss was watching me and he called me aside later and all he said was in a caring manner, "You know, Luba, I am trying to make a profit here!"^_^ He was a remarkable boss, as I've been fortunate to have had three more follow, not to mention other supervisors, too.
