• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Okay I have had nightmares almost every night for about a year....My OCD is almost non existence. I have little bouts with anxiety in the morning when i wake up from what are def anxiety provoking dreams. Sometimes in the dreams, they shouldn't even bother me but they do.....So I have been trying to cope with these dreams. Praying doesn't help so I know there caused by my psych meds. Oh well guess I have to live with it. I didn't know life could feel so strange. Even after all the OCD spikes I have been thru. That feels more normal to me then these nightmares. Watch it just turn into a different them and then I have to deal with that.

My doc put me on another AP....to see if it helps. But it doesn't and my OCD is like your James. It has went into remission....I am thankful for that but also at the same time it's like the dreams are after shocks of the OCD. I know I deal with a MI but, sometimes it gets away with me thinking there is something seriously wrong.

I don't know you -- can I ask -- do you know the cause of anxiety and OCD -- did you have an abusive childhood at all??
