Just when you think things can't get weirder ... and we were told he "retired" for the night at 5 p.m. that day.

It seems Chris Wallace at Fox News just wouldn't let go of his question: White House: Irrelevant Fact Where Obama Was During Benghazi | Video | TheBlaze.com

But host Chris Wallace, who had asked what specifically Obama did during the night of the deadly assault, said Pfeiffer didnt answer his question.

Pfeiffer said Obama was in constant touch that night with his national security team and repeated that he was kept up to date with the events that were happening.

Is it just me ... or does that seem at odds with prior statements about Obama retiring for the night at 5 pm?

I watched this exhange yesterday and what Pfeiffer was saying is that it's irrelevant if Obama was in the situation room or elsewhere in the Whitehouse as long as he was available if more developements unfolded, which he was.

It's funny that we're constantly told how smart Obama is by the left, yet all he does is claim ignorance on all of these issues. If he's so brilliant and such a strong leader then how can he not know everything going on all around him? It's a valid question.

Pfeiffer said it well to Wallace, (paraphrased) "If Obama was micromanaging the IRS and other non-partisan agencies to the level that he's aware of their misconduct before it was made public that truly would be a scandal."

Actually all it would take is for him to have been aware of it back in 2012 and he would be criminally complicit if we're looking at this from a legal standpoint.

The reason why Obama's whereabouts concerning 9/11/2012 are relevant is because only he could authorize rescue teams flying into Libya from locations outside that country.

I fail to be surprised by politicians and their tactics anymore. Part of the job seems to be an allergy to the truth and accountability. Given that, there's no cure. However, what makes the diagnosis one of chronic suffering for the electorate is when we re-elect them to do it all over to us again in the name of the drug; partisanship.

How do we know? They won't tell us where he was, what he was doing, who gave the stand down orders, why they lied to us numerous times about the cause of the attack, we Stevens didn't have more security after asking for it and have stonewalled us at every turn trying to get to the bottom of this.

I have nothing but a complete utter lack of respect for anyone who still believes the administration after all of the known, demonstrated and easily proven lies they have tried to feed us. Each one insults our intelligence. And yet people still stick by our Liar In Chief. Apparently some of us deserve to have our intelligence insulted on a daily basis.
