thats what a atheist told me.. why evolution could be real.. does that make sense? the disease getting stopped by the medicine.. then other "doses" of the disease got told in advance? lol i dont know.. my brain might not be right right now.. but what's the biblical answer?

Except that they're still bacteria.

Yes- they do evolve and become immune to antibiotics. I highly encourage you to take a microbiology class if you can. It is what it is- and it isn't a lie. I'm not sure how or why you think you need scripture to refute it. There are no scriptures that talk about it one way or the other.

Very simple answer.

They lose the part of themselves that's subject to the antibio.

Also please note Christians believe in adaption. If it's in their code they can use it to adapt to their environment, God gave all living things this ability for a good reason.

Bacteria have an added advantage of being able to swap information by touch.

Lastly bacteria were designed as good things, like the rest of the creation.

I wonder about viruses, though. There are no beneficial viruses (no, I don't call a virus that happens to kill a harmful bacteria a "beneficial" virus because its action is still only to kill another being).

I can't see how a virus could ever have been a "good" thing. The most complex virus compared to the simplest bacteria is like a pop bottle rocket compared to an ICBM. It's very activity of life is literally demon-like.

I have my doubts about viruses.

Some retrovirus actually seem to work like repair mechanisms. Evos actually use this argument to show evidence for upward onward evolution.

A poor argument in my estimation, the vast weight of genetic drift runs down hill. This is described as genetic entropy. Like the rest of the creation our genome seems to be subject to the law of decay. One scientist the name escapes me at the moment, actually proposed that if life had been around for as long as is claimed, we would have returned to the pond scum from whence we came, many thousands of times over.

Well I don't call it evolving, I call it adaption. WHich one could argue is the same thing. Either way it doesn't proof that atheists are right. We know 100% for sure that some things change/adapt. Like how the avian flu. But we don't know 100% that we came from apes (as the atheists claim). Most everything they say is based on theories and not accurate at all. Such as fossil dating which many scientists admit may be flawed.

After all how a machine thats built by man REALLY know how old something is? If we are flawed then the things we make have flaws. Often science is constantly changing its mind on supposed "proven" things. The whole "Dark matter" thing really made them rethink things. Just as a few months back they found something about gravity that might prove the original idea of it is a little off or there is something else added to it.

Remember, in the past science said the earth was flat. They also said flying was impossible. They said lots of things that have became outdated. Just as 1000 years from now they will call alot of things we though today wrong. Mind you I think God will be back WAY before then of course.

germs are indeed evolving to have resistance to bacteria.
and it's getting to be quite a serious problem.
some of the old STD's that used to be curable - are now becoming incurable because of this process.

this does not contradict the Bible.

blessings,
Gideon

Micro-evolution isn't really in much doubt. You only have to see how dogs are bred to 'look a certain way' to see it.
What I can't believe, partially due to the Bible and partially due to the fossil records is that one species can become another.
No fossil has ever been found to back up this theory.

As said by Philpy,

It's a matter of Macroevolution vs. Microevolution. Bacteria DNA can mutate and by the process of natural selection, adapt to be antibiotic resistant. This does not contradict what the Bible teaches and says nothing on the order of "The Origin of Life". You would have to make some pretty outlandish assumptions to come to a conclusion that answers such a question. Too often scientist think that science can answer all of life's big questions and fall into the trap of scientism. Nothing about my chemical, cellular, genetic, physiological, or anatomical makeup tells me where life came from and why life on Earth exists. For that you must lean on what people have said in the past, their credibility, their reliability, and their validity. No one else in HISTORY has gotten in right and who has proved who he claimed to be other than JESUS CHRIST.

first of all, don't argue with atheists; they've already believed the lie that hinders them from seeing Truth. witness as God leads you to, and trust God that He will give everyone an equal chance to know Him and Live.

no germ or virus has or ever will evolve to resist the name of Jesus and faith in His name:

1Jn 5:4-5 KJV For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (5) Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
