Obama wasn't speaking to the 6th graders alone, but to a public audience, hence the reason why he's speaking from the presidential podium and the reason we have the video in the first place.

Really, after George Bush, the last thing conservatives should be doing is criticizing Obama's method of giving speeches.

George W. Bush often spoke off the cuff without the teleprompter.

I use a telepromptor when I give speeches or teach classes, even relatively informal ones. I find it helps me make sure that I remember to communicate everything I intended to. I always thought of it as professional behavior, and not the sort of thing that someone would be criticized for.

Obama doesn't use a teleprompter all the time, just when delivering speeches with specific content.

He's done town meeting type forums without a teleprompter and does well.

You really need to stay out of right-wing blog sites.

Your bias is too obvious.

Jim
We are talking about underdog blog sites VS the mainsteam media. David VS Goliath. Have you seen the bias from the left in the way MSNBC talks about Obama, Chris Matthews saying that Obama gave him a tingle up his leg? The point is the double standard. If people are going to criticize Bush harshly for the littlest speech gaffes, which they still do, Obama should not be given the free pass that he's always gotten from the mainstream media.

If people are going to criticize Bush harshly for the littlest speech gaffes...
the littlest speech gaffes? ...ok, they were little.

every president who has had the technology available to him has used a teleprompter.

Ah, as the Dutch would say, the monkey comes out of the sleeve.

With all the drone attacks in Afghanistan and those mass shootings and bombings going on, what matters, of course, is that the guy you don't like used a teleprompter.

The problem is, you're aligning yourself with political ideology, instead of Jesus Christ.

This is a Christian forum, which means, we seek union with Jesus Christ through fellowship.

I know where you are coming from for I use to be a staunch conservative and was constantly involved in political debates.

I can assure you, it's not conducive in living a spiritual life.

Jesus didn't involve himself in political debates of his time, because the salvation of souls trumps all political ideologies.

So, all I'm suggesting to you is, if you seek truth, political blog sites and talk shows, whether it's Russ Limbaugh or Chris Matthew, will be a stumbling block, not an aid.

I don't put politics above my faith. I posted this in here because this section is called the "General Politics Forum". And the deeper reason I don't like Obama isn't because of him as a person or because he's black or because he's a Democrat. What's deeper about what I don't like about him is his evil policies and the ongoing fight he has going against the Catholic Church, Catholic bishops, and any Christian who won't accept abortion and so-called "same-sex marriage". :)
