Who does? Conspiracy theorists? Christian conspiracy theorists, although operating under the assumption that they are "watchers," often create idols out of these things as they obsess over them and take in the mind-rot that they read on grainy Geocities and Angelfire webpages.

So many things have come to the publics awareness as to their symbolic meaning or representation...especially during the past decade as the flow of information and the means by which it can be conveyed has advanced incredibly. With this information flow come all the debunkers and naysayers to the information.

Certainly all information accessible is not truth and there are all kinds of people relaying misinformation/disinformation, some most likely aware, while others are not. However, it really doesn't take a great deal of effort to see if there is information that supports a theory/issue or not. Responsible researchers look at all side, points, theories and research to determine sources, or roots of a claim.

A problem arises when this is not done and people simply accept what they are told or have read and refuse or won't take the time to view all information regarding said topic, in particular, anything that may contradict what they have come to believe or accept as true. As soon as this occurs, the question arises about a persons knowledge of the topic. More often than not, their understanding is one sided and biased based on their belief or what they want to believe.

Whether or not symbolic meanings have intent is contentious. It becomes up to an individual to decide if it does have intent and if it is important to be aware of it. People will place significance based on what they believe or have preconceived ideas about. If one's beliefs are contradicted, then they most often will automatically become defensive and most often discredit the source of the contradiction. People very rarely allow their beliefs to be challenged, nor will they investigate other evidence. Especially if it will affect the way they have always viewed the world.

Zanting is right, it doesn't make me "a conspiracy theorist" because I think the statue is pagan. There is much information online about America's symbols, they are ALL OCCULT not just the statue of "Liberty". Freemasonry is behind ALL OF THEM and it's up to you to do your own research (instead of calling people names) and you will find out the truth about Freemasonry.
This Scottish Christian's sheer amount of research into America and it's symbolism is astounding. The Fuel Project is well worth your time, whether on biblical doctrine, world history as it relates to Christianity, "know your enemy" which this short video is one of over 50 on the subject of evil in the world and Satan...

Some would find fault with it because it's produced by a born again Christian from Scotland, but I have yet to find an American Christian who has done so much research on subjects that should be important to all Christians.

Take ten minutes and watch this. First it covers the Egyptian obelisks that are all over the world in every major country, ours is the Washington Monument, then after that he covers the Statue of Liberty (to do what you want).

Here again...I think you miss the point

This is the second commandment of the Decalogue...Exodus 20:4-6, and I'll break it down as to why I think you're overboard:
4“You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.
5You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6 but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

We know clearly what God means here. An idol, becomes and idol when people worship it...that's the one motivation that makes it an idol.

Now...the SOL is an symbolic image...but is it an idol? Only if you take the next step of verse 5 and worship it. No one I know worships the SOL. Just as God told Moses to make a brazen serpent, and when people were bitten they were to look to it and they would live...the brazen serpent was a SYMBOL of God's promise. Israel went to far and began to worship it. They even gave it the name "Nehushtan"...therefore Hezekiah did right and destroyed it.

I understand all the paganism behind it...but what is it to the American people? It is a STATUE OF LIBERTY...it is not the pagan background that it comes from, and therefore I simply reject the premise that it's anything more.

As far as I;m concerned it's what I was taught it was...a gift from France to the US...NOTHING MORE.

*I never even entertain the idea of worshiping the SOL.

*When I see the SOL...I think of FREEDOM...nothing else.

*If someone wants to worship the SOL...it's a sin upon them.

All this "other stuff" about paganism and all that...has nothing to do with what Americans think of the SOL.

This is stirring the pot about nothing. Simply go out and ask 10 people "what is the Statue of Liberty"...then you'll know.

The original concept and design based on the Roman goddess is of course insignificant, since our nation's people born with Christian beliefs only recognize one true God and Lord Jesus. Most all Americans view this statue as freedom personified, similar to the bible personifying wisdom.
The light of freedom and justice personified as a woman has never been an idol that has been worshipped as far as I know--nobody I know believes in Roman goddesses. Nobody I know or have seen bows to this statue and prayers to it! ???

So that said, I wouldn't identify this statue with ANY prophecy.

The story of King Josiah is found in 2 Kings. Here is the event that led to Josiah destroying the idols, including the Asherah poles:

2 Kings 22:8, 10-13 "Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the court secretary, I have found the Book of the Law in the Lords Temple! Then Hilkiah gave the scroll to Shaphan, and he read it.
Shaphan also told the king, Hilkiah the priest has given me a scroll. So Shaphan read it to the king".

"When the king heard what was written in the Book of the Law, he tore his clothes in despair. Then he gave these orders to Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Acbor son of Micaiah, Shaphan the court secretary, and Asaiah the kings personal adviser: Go to the Temple and speak to the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah. Inquire about the words written in this scroll that has been found. For the Lords great anger is burning against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words in this scroll. We have not been doing everything it says we must do.

The lost scroll had to be Deuteronomy, where it says:
Deuteronomy 12:3 "Break down their altars and smash their sacred pillars. Burn their Asherah poles and cut down their carved idols. Completely erase the names of their gods!"

Josiah's heart was right before God. He had worshiped no other gods but Yahweh. But when he read the command given by God to Moses, where God clearly says to burn and destroy those idols (that represented false gods whom Josiah never worshiped)--

He tore his clothes, wept bitterly and then destroyed those idols that meant nothing to him, but meant "fertility" or "freedom" or "the sun" or "the stars" or "rain" to other people. Because GOD COMMANDED them to be destroyed, not ignored. God ALONE brings freedom and peace, no nation or empire of the world has ever been able to maintain freedom. Here, now, in the USA the majority of people are "debt slaves", use fiat money and have no "real wealth" which is owned land, or precious metals like silver and gold. Most Americans have never seen or held a gold coin, yet work their whole lives and never gain real wealth.

It's good to own property and leave wealth to your children, but even better to store up treasure in heaven.

People, I'm not saying we WORSHIP the Statue of Liberty!! Stop saying I'm suggesting that. If you read what I wrote about King Josiah, you would understand that God doesn't want or like STATUES OF GODS or GODDESSES, period, whether you worship them or not!!!
Colossus of Rhoads was destroyed in an earthquake. Here are the top 5 largest statues in the world today. SOL is number 3rd largest, the LARGEST statue of a FEMALE ROMAN GODDESS on the planet....

The rest are demonic, because you are an American you are not objective enough to just look at it (with no historical reference point, no previous memory of this thing welcoming immigrants to America) and say "It sure looks like a Roman Sun Goddess". If you knew nothing about it, but had some knowledge of Roman history and statuary....this would be your conclusion.

Psalm 140 "Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man; preserve me from the violent man,

In Joshua we read how God sent hornets to remove the two kings..

Why would He bless the most murderous nation that ever existed (50 million innocent babies, so far through abortion) one million innocent civilians in Iraq, 50 innocent women and children killed for each "target" (any male over 14 yrs old) daily in Pakistan etc???

Dream on in your fantasy about how God is with America. He WAS with us, before the leaven leavened the whole lump. He hates oppression of the poor, everything we have here is made by slave labor in third world countries.

Who's the terrorist? Women must run in their houses in TERROR when they see this flying toward them, hide their children, and weep after their children are torn to bits.
