Is this a false prophecy?

I started a thread about whether God chooses sides in a sporting contest and I posted the video below (please watch it to fully understand). It was about a boxing match between Robert Guererro who was on 700 club a few weeks ago and Floyd Mayweather.
This guy (prophet/evangelist or pastor) prophesied that God had told him Robert Guererro would beat Mayweather. He further went on to say Guererro would see a fist from heaven which would knock out Mayweather. Firstly Robert Guererro did not knock out Mayweather. Secondly he hardly won a round.Thirdly he did not win the fight.
My question is: Did God lie by telling this prophet that Robert Guererro would win the fight? Is this guy a false prophet or how would you explain such things.

There's more to a prophet than whether they predict the future.

Isaiah 8-19-20

"And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."

If they speak against the law(biblical law)
If they speak against the testimony

..."there is no light in them"

Whether it fits one's paradigm or not, that is what it says.

well... it's basically a command to Prophesy..
It's easy to judge & call someone a false prophet when we aren't the ones stepping out in faith.

1Corinthians14 (emphasis added)
Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. 2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit. 3 But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort.4 Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church. 5 I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified.

Pastor claims God told him Robert Guererro would beat Floyd Mayweather - YouTube

This video has come up elsewhere and the way I would explain it is that anyone who presumes to tell God what He already knows (but really it's for everyone else's ears) then proceeds to tell God to anoint hands, to call down God's will as if God was this pastor's own personal servant - is both very presumptuous and arrogant, and for lack of a better term, the kinds of people who do this are snake oil salesman in a religious attire.

The "prophecy" bit is just icing on the cake. Sadly, most of his congregation will push it out of their minds and turn up Sunday morning with their checks ready.

Despite what the so called prophet said, here's the fighter getting schooled. Apparently the fist which was supposed to come from heaven did not show up. It's just a bit confusing and now we do not know whether this is one of the wolves in sheepskin or what.

False prophet, yes. There are plenty of them out there. God likely is not concerned with who wins a violent and ungodly sport...

I agree with most of this post, but as a Christian marital artist I find the "violent and ungodly" part to be unnecessary and offensive.

Nobody said you have to enjoy certain sports, but to call them ungodly because you don't like them is rather unfair.
