There is great significance to the Euphrates River and the Lord's intents to eventually expand His nation of Israel to its banks .... the biblical view is from Genesis to Revelation:

Genesis 2:14 The name of the third river [is] Hiddekel; it [is] the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river [is] the Euphrates.

Genesis 15:18 On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying: "To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates

Deuteronomy 1:7 'Turn and take your journey, and go to the mountains of the Amorites, to all the neighboring [places] in the plain, in the mountains and in the lowland, in the South and on the seacoast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates.

Deuteronomy 11:24 "Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the River Euphrates, even to the Western Sea, shall be your territory.

Joshua 1:4 "From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.

2 Samuel 8:3 David also defeated Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his territory at the River Euphrates.

2 Kings 23:29 In his days Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt went to the aid of the king of Assyria, to the River Euphrates; and King Josiah went against him. And [Pharaoh Necho] killed him at Megiddo when he confronted him.

2 Kings 24:7 And the king of Egypt did not come out of his land anymore, for the king of Babylon had taken all that belonged to the king of Egypt from the Brook of Egypt to the River Euphrates.

1 Chron 5:9 Eastward they settled as far as the entrance of the wilderness this side of the River Euphrates, because their cattle had multiplied in the land of Gilead.

1 Chron 18:3 And David defeated Hadadezer king of Zobah [as far as] Hamath, as he went to establish his power by the River Euphrates.

2 Chron 35:20 After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by the Euphrates; and Josiah went out against him.

Jeremiah 13:4 "Take the sash that you acquired, which [is] around your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole in the rock."

Jeremiah 13:5 So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.

Jeremiah 13:6 Now it came to pass after many days that the LORD said to me, "Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take from there the sash which I commanded you to hide there."

Jeremiah 13:7 Then I went to the Euphrates and dug, and I took the sash from the place where I had hidden it; and there was the sash, ruined. It was profitable for nothing.

Jeremiah 46:2 Against Egypt. Concerning the army of Pharaoh Necho, king of Egypt, which was by the River Euphrates in Carchemish, and which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon defeated in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:

Jeremiah 46:6 "Do not let the swift flee away, Nor the mighty man escape; They will stumble and fall Toward the north, by the River Euphrates.

Jeremiah 46:10 For this [is] the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, A day of vengeance, That He may avenge Himself on His adversaries. The sword shall devour; It shall be satiated and made drunk with their blood; For the Lord GOD of hosts has a sacrifice In the north country by the River Euphrates.

Jeremiah 51:63 "Now it shall be, when you have finished reading this book, [that] you shall tie a stone to it and throw it out into the Euphrates.

Revelation 9:14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates."

Revelation 16:12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

[Isaiah 11; 27:13; 63:1-7; 63:1-4; Ezekiel 38; 39; Daniel 11:40; Joel 2:20; Micah 5:1-15; Zechariah 12:1-10; 13:1-9; 14:1-11; Romans 11:1-36; Revelation 11:2; 16:1-16; 19:11-21]

The Lord will resume His covenant with a believing remnant part of Israel at the end of this present age [Jeremiah 30; Daniel 9:24-27; 31:31-37]

He sees the end from the beginning and He gives His prophets a vast panorama over long periods of the sweep of human history

He is now setting Israel in place for the time of Jacob's trouble, the 70th week decreed in which a remnant part of the same will defeat the nation's Middle Eastern enemies [the same descendants of the ancient Babylonians, Persians, Assyrians, Turks, Ishmaelites, Palestinians, Egyptians, etc.] who inhabit the lands round about Israel today [Ezekiel 36:1-7]

These are the adherents of Islam who venture to destroy Israel and to take the land and His holy place from Him .... and those who do this thing will be vanquished by the Lord Himself as He comes to the earth to take back what is rightfully His [Psalms 2; Psalms 83; Ezekiel 38:39; Revelation 19:11-21]

He is moving at this time to create the setting for His own intervention, in person ..... and He is going to bring His hour of trial and judgment upon an unbelieving world that refuses to believe the truth about Him [Revelation 6:12-17; 2Thessalonians 2:8-12]

And He will proceed to set His kingdom upon the earth which will be centered in Jerusalem for 1000 years [Micah 4; 5; Revelation 20:4]

..... then will come the last satanically inspired human rebellion against Him and His response will be to vanquish those who do this thing with His unquenchable holy fire, Satan and his fallen ones will be destroyed forever, and the spirits of the human dead of all who refused to believe in Him since the beginning of creation will be judged and sent to His lake of fire [Revelation 20:7-15]

Then He will renovate this present earth and universe with His cleansing holy fire and eternity will begin .... make certain that you are ready for this by believing in and following the only Son of God who is Jesus Christ [Matthew 25:1-13; Revelation 3:15-19; 16:15]

.... if not, you will end up with this destiny [Matthew 25:30; 41-46; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8] and your existence will be ended

Those who belong to Him will be made immortal and will enter His restored eternal kingdom [2Peter 3:9-18; Revelation 21:1-7]

NOne of this is what the NT says the OT is about. You are going direct at the OT instead of seeing it as the apostles saw it after 40 days of classes with Christ between the resurrection and the enthronement. That's why none of this distant future stuff shows up in the NT.

None of the this was the view of the great reformation thinkers like Ramm, Buchanan, Spurgeon, Packer, Stott, Brinsmead. It belongs entirely to the modern period which has somehow got the idea that we have a sacred 'nostradamus' type of text to read, because it doesn't pay attention to the heavy duty chapters of the apostles such as:
Rom 3-4
Gal 3-4
Eph 2-3
Acts 13's sermon
2 Cor 3-5

and of course it is completely distracted from real historic questions by the mosquito known as the rapture, which is treated like a pet; it even has the nickname 'blessed hope' which it is not. It sucks blood and spreads malaria compared to what the NT is really saying.

This if flatly false.

You have seen plenty of futurism from the very oldest writings of the church that have survived. So the part of this statement that I have highlighted in boldface is blatantly false.

because it doesn't pay attention to the heavy duty chapters of the apostles such as:
Rom 3-4
Gal 3-4
Eph 2-3
Acts 13's sermon
2 Cor 3-5

This is strictly your interpretation.

This is flaming.

What we have in this presentation is more pushing of fulfilled prophecy into the future...and it's just a bad thing to do.

he OP presents a number of prophecies that were unquestionably fulfilled in the past. But it does not even claim that these are future. But there is absolutely no way to even pretend that the last one was fulfilled at any time after the Revelation was written.
