What does scripture say, and do you believe an average day in the life of a Christian should look like?

Here is what Scripture says:

Matthew 6:33

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Joshua 1:8

"Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it."

Matthew 28:19-20

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

1 Thessalonians 5:12-22

"Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil."

What I believe:

What scripture says is reflective of your personal relationship with God. You do things out of obedience because you love God. You meditate on God's Word daily to know Him more and renew your mind on God. You pray as communication to God on a personal level. All these actions should naturally follow from a loving relationship with God when you realize that Jesus died for you and saved you.

The "average day" will vary from person to person...
my day here starts with thoughts of: "This is the day the
Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it."

From there it's one of showing grace to my husband who is in
a lot of pain from his total knee replacement surgery, mind you he
also has ongoing issues and phantom pain with his residual limb
(left leg/stump) --he had an accident at work that cost him his lower
leg, this took place over 3 yrs. ago but the problems with it are still
continuing.

There's frustration and anxiety to deal with and we are renewing our minds
daily on various verses of scripture. We listen to online ministry podcasts from
a couple of different preachers.

I have a card ministry that I do along with being on the Pastoral Care team
at the church we attend. We selected to do the folks who have a spouse that
has Alzheimer's, so that's three, there's a widow and three dear ones who have
cancer...two of them have received a clean bill of health and the other one is
holding her own at this time...these folks inspire us!

There are times we go and sing at nursing homes and or volunteer for outreach
programs...this isn't daily, but on a monthly basis. If my husband can't go, then
I go. There's also a neighbor I visit here from time to time to encourage her as
she is dealing with a husband who has numerous health problems-- we lift up
one another actually.

My mom still lives in NC and I call her regularly and we talk about the Lord and or
sermons we've listened to etc. Some on here may recall that I spent several weeks
in Feb. and March of this year in NC looking after my mom when she got really sick.
She spent almost a month in the rehab center and I'm happy to say she is home and
doing quite well! During all this my middle brother has renewed his faith and is helping
to take care of our mom and is making daily visits to her apartment...this is what we
have prayed about for many years and we are seeing it come to being a reality--praise
the Lord!

Lastly, there's the time I put aside to be on here and try to help folks, I'm not
always good at it but I continue to try and be of some help...all this makes up
my "average day".

The average day begins with the Lord and an attitude of thankfulness for the day,
from there one deals with emotions and trials but all of this is something we rely on
the Lord to see us through...we go to his Word often and refresh ourselves with it.
We look to help out others as best as we can, if we mess up we apologize/seek forgiveness.
We try to keep our minds focused on the Lord and being submitted to him.

Dear HawkBlue27. Jesus told us: " The first and great Commandment is:
Love God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
The second is like it: Love thy neighbour as thyself." Straightforward and easy to remember. How to follow these great Commandments from Jesus?
God wants our love, freely given and No conditions made. Everything we do or say, everything we advise or stand for, should be from Love and Compassion.
God is Love and God wants loving children/sons and daughters. It may not come naturally to us, but God our Heavenly Father wants it from us.
We start by treating all we know and all we meet, friends or not friends, treat all as we would love to be treated. God will see our sincere efforts, and God will Bless us. Jesus will give us His Love and Joy, and the Holy Spirit will empower us with His Love, also. We keep asking God and thanking God and sharing all Love and Joy with our neighbour: all around us. (Matthew 7: 7-8:)
We might stumble and forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us, and carry on Loving and Caring for our neighbour.
A Christian`s great weapon is Love, Love will overcome all enmity, and all wrong behaviour. Jesus will help and guide us: JESUS IS THE WAY, and let us become sign-posts to God. People will treat us as we treat people, and let us always remember that, and live accordingly. Our average days should be days of Loving God with all our beings, and loving our neighbour as we love ourselves. " Love and Obey," are our average days in our lifes.
I say this with love, Hawkblue. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

What should the average day in the life of a Christian look like?
No big discussion, just a simple question. What does scripture say, and do you believe an average day in the life of a Christian should look like?

Well admittedly, I struggle with mapping out how my day should be.
Just wait until yer retired! :D ;)

1Pe 2:12
having your behaviour among the nations right, that in that which they speak against you as evil-doers,
of the good works having beheld, they may glorify God in a day of inspection.

Dear HawkBlue27. We start by telling God in Prayer: " Thy will may be done today." We try that all we say or do will be in Love, with kind words and a helping hand if needed. We ask Jesus to lead us and remember that God made us all in His image. If we have to make any decisions we always try to follow God`s Commandments: " Treat all we know or meet as we would love to be treated." It may not always be easy, but we know that God wants it from us. Jesus is always ready to help and guide us: We must ask and then know, that Jesus will always be there for us.
Our days should be lived as God wants us to live them, " Love is our strong weapon, and Love will never dissappoint us. Sometimes it takes a bit longer than others, but Love will never let us down. That is the way which God wants us to live it, and most likely we will be stumbling often, but we have to keep asking Jesus`s Help and Guide. Love is very catching, and in time we will change. With God on our side, what can be against us?
I say this with love, HawkBlue. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

Appearance, intelligence, talent, health, attitude as a mature adult myself where everything spiritual about Jesus seems to steer my mind on the path of absolute confidence and health perfection - by choosing the right healthy foods most commonly: bread, potatoes, fish, eggs, cheese, fruit.:
Filtered tap water as cold ice added to room-temperature sugar-free softdrink so that the energy-drive from carbohydrates from bread/potatoes can definitely make me feel like an athlete in his mid 20s, even though I'm in my last year for 40 age bracket, working as a part-time manual laborer such as sub-contract gardening and lawn-mowing, delivery of letterbox brochures/home products magazines.:
There's a definite tip or hint that the everlasting peace of Jesus in your heart seems to give away, and that hint is our future-coming new minds and bodies so Christ-like that nobody can compare you to someone who is not so wealthy and successful which unfortunately I fall in this category.:
Praying has become almost a daily habit, in fact, wondering rather than praying what and how will my new future mind and body of Christ will react with the highest intelligent mind and a youthful athletic body that is injury-proof and disease-proof, especially perfect vocal chords for clear speeches and singing songs of worship or songs of your favorite choices .;'*';.
