Sorry if I don't make sense right now. Still a little shaky. Yes, I do know and believe the Holy Spirit and Jesus is one. I was just calling on everything I could in any sense right now. Ugh still bums me out that The enemy said I'm getting weaker. I'm growing in my faith. He's a liar and I will not have it in Jesus name.

I am sorry to hear that you have had another difficult time., Felicia.

Take heart and have faith in the mighty and powerful Spirit of God that is within you. It is by faith that we are saved and it is that faith that opens the pathway to allow His Spirit to flow through you and cause the enemy to flee.

Take your eyes, your hearing, and your thoughts off of the enemy, and place them all squarely on God and His great power. Praise Him and trust Him when you fear. He is reliable and trustworthy. It is "His" power that the enemy fears, not your strength or power.

He will renew your strength, as you reflect on Him and His power.

Isaiah 40:30-31

"Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

I receive a Christian Leadership newsletter daily via email. This is a copy of todays. I hope it encourages you.

"Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You. —Jeremiah 32:17

When Tennyson wrote "More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of," he probably uttered a truth of vaster significance than even he understood. While it is not always possible to trace an act of God to its prayer-cause, it is yet safe to say that prayer is in back of everything that God does for the sons of men here upon earth. One would gather as much from a simple reading of the Scriptures.

What profit is there in prayer? "Much every way." Whatever God can do faith can do, and whatever faith can do prayer can do when it is offered in faith. An invitation to prayer is, therefore, an invitation to omnipotence, for prayer engages the Omnipotent God and brings Him into our human affairs. Nothing is impossible to the man who prays in faith, just as nothing is impossible with God. This generation has yet to prove all that prayer can do for believing men and women".

Felicia, the devil is a liar and he is the father of lies. You can bet that he sees you getting stronger and he is getting scared. He would like to keep you afraid. Revelation 12:10-11 says: "And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, 'Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before God day and night. And they overcame him (the devil) by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony..."

The Blood of Jesus is the weapon of choice when you are going through these attacks. Tell the devil you belong to Jesus Christ. You were bought by His Blood. The devil has no authority to attack you and you do not have to be afraid of him. He is already defeated by Jesus.

Re concerning feeling led by the Spirit to do something not stated in the NT, or anywhere in the Word for that matter... If dipping in the Jordan 7 times was a custom given by the Lord for healing I'm not aware. I'm thinking since God's thoughts are higher then ours, and we all are so unique, that it is possible that God will deal with each of us differently whether it's in the Bible or not.

If we come to the point of thinking God would never have us do something that isn't spelled out for us we just may miss out on a wonderful blessing.... Naaman is an example of one thinking ...well God would never.... and it's not in the law so he had the Word on his side too. Thank God that God isn't subject to man or man's reasoning :)

2 Kgs 5:
10And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. 11But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. 12Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. 13And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean? 14Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

:thumbsup: I was thinking the same thing.. he feels threatened now and is lying to try to gain some sort of surrender. We can't lose unless we surrender. We don't have to fight either.. the battle has already been won. Speaking the Word is how Jesus ran the devil off.. He didn't struggle with the devil.

We have authority to do the same. We just need to remind him that he can't cross the blood line and he has no authority over us. Some good scripture to quote if being harassed would be:

If God be for me, who can be against me
Greater is He that is in me then He that is in the world
I am more than a conqueror through Him who loves me (Jesus)
No weapon formed against me shall prosper

etc.. dig them out of the word.. look online for scripture (sword) to speak when afraid or being harassed. Commit them to memory and use your sword (The Word of God) when ever there is an attack. Keeping in mind that the devil has already been defeated and on his best day, he can't defeat you on your worst day. (because you are in Christ)

Jesus is Lord!

One of our pastors was being attacked by a wicked spirit and he could barley speak.. the spirit was trying to suck the air out of his lungs.. He just squeaked out the name of Jesus and the thing fled. If you can't think of any scripture during one of these attacks.. just call Jesus! :)

Just another thought Felicia. I recommend that you find a local pastor to help you with this since you are a new Christian. You need someone there to stand with you, pray with you and for you for deliverance. Most of the time.. Charismatics and Pentecostals are strong in this area.

Yes, I so agree with C.Kate. We've seen so many miracles, blessings and bondages fall away through our church's prayer meetings too, all because a handful of mature Christians selflessly gave some of their time :groupray:

Bless everyone of you! I've finally got a chance to go through each one of these. Thank you for the scriptures , each one of you, as I have wrote them down and am committed to memorizing them. I think its time to go and pray or be prayed over with my pastor or elders and I too agree with Riverdays.

@Tellastory- You know, I'm not too familiar with healing masses but on a night I had an attack it was after attending one. On this particular day, I was heavy in the word. I spent my morning and afternoon in the word and in worship. I was on fire for God and was pretty amped to attend this healing mass. When I finally got there I had this cloud over my head. I felt blocked during worship. I couldn't understand it because I was so on fire for God the entire evening, why would I feel blocked at my own church? I kept getting ugly thoughts and images and I just wanted it to stop so I prayed and sang harder and louder. Halfway in, the minister stated to lay hands on each other, and it was a very quiet moment. The woman behind me broke out into this laughter. It was an uncontrollable laughter and I felt uneasy. I turned around to lay my hands over her and she started convulsing uncontrollably and sobbing loudly. I felt this gush of relief come over me after and my mind was clear. However, on my way home I just had those ugly thoughts again and had to shout the enemy out of my head in the name of Jesus. Don't know what to make out of that experience but I can understand your connection.

When I go through these attacks and I call on Jesus sometimes it feels like FOREVER but he does come through. I trust in God, but from a flesh standpoint, too encounter such evil personally really creeps you out. Its one thing to know it exists and is out there and its another to actually hear and feel it try to attack you but I am a child of God.

My sister of God also shed some more information on it as well. I was explaining how my last occurrence happened on a night I was too tired to read the bible. My attacks have stopped for the most part since opening it up every night. Before I went to bed, I was too tired to open it up but she said the enemy knew it could get me at a weaker point without my sword,my armor, my bible. When she shined it in that light, it most definitely amps me up to read the word and armor up before bed each and every night.

Bless you all :)
