Hey folks long time no see :p

Just dropping in wondering what you all think about North Korea's war mongering, and what might a conflict mean to Britain? Im assuming we would aid the US if they waded in to defend S. Korea.

Would China get involved? Is this all just bark and no bite? Or perhaps another cold war?

Judging by how China has changed over the years, North Korea would likely be alone in any conflict; probably leading said conflicts to be on the short side.

I'm not sure how likely war is though.
Seems more likely than it's been in a while mind you.

North Korea is totally unpredictable, but with the Chinese backing away as an ally I think the North feels cornered. When you corner a rat, they go straight for the jugular.

I don't think that any conflict would last long enough to involve the UK in any significant way.

It isn't going anywhere.

China is going dude wth to North Korea, and for all that people are freaking over the deployment of ABMs, the same system (THAAD) was sent to Hawaii in 2009 in case North Korea went off on one, and nothing came of it then either.

Their tech is ropey as hell, and if they fired one missile they'd get oodles back in their direction.

Yes brothers and sisters, these really are the end times.

The money in your pockets will witness against you about how much of your time you have been working for Mammon, for greed, and have kept it all for yourself.

This could be the last chance to donate it all to a good cause, just send it all to me and I'll ensure it goes to a good end in a poor country that is so neglected it doesn't even have an extradition agreement with the US.

i think and hope nothing will happen, if usa did not back up south korea, north korea would invade the south, also china wont back north korea ,so its another stalemate.
the north korean army is there to keep in check ,the korean people. if he did not have such a big military, there would be a civil war. its an evil regime. imo

Also are brothers and sisters are terribly persecuted there. lets remember them.

We have to be grateful the USA is there to protect the Free World, it is the only nation to have possessed a potent weapon - nuclear weapons, and not used it or threatened anyone with it, but only held it as a deterrent.

The North Korean government is mostly worried about perpetuating itself.

I'd be more worried about Pakistan. They have a mature nuclear weapons program in a country that is increasingly unstable.

The number one biggest threat to those in charge of the US would be having no enemies.

So although it might seem pretty crazy for Iraq to attack the US, it had to be made to sound plausible. They had remotely-piloted vehicles (drones) that could hit the US East coast, and were ready for launch in 45 minutes, we had top level secret intelligence about all that.

But moving back to reality, we had the receipts for the weapons making equipment they had spread around a whole bunch of buildings. This was well documented by the weapons inspectors, that got moved when we pulled out the inspectors at the start of the war, and we didn't secure the sites they had locked down, so now the equipment is gone, most likely scattered all around the Middle East, and very possibly making car parts right now. The invasion of Iraq moved the risk all the way up from insignificant to not very significant.

France is not with us therefore they are against us; and French Fries are now called 'Freedom Fries'.

I think Chile is the biggest threat. Their ideology is opposed to ours and each Llama can carry 100 kg of high explosive and you know how many Llamas they have?????

mate, you're either with us or you're with the terrorists.

I think the biggest threat was Venezuela, before they bumped off Chavez.

Before they invaded Iraq, I remember they said that Cyprus could launch chemical or biological weapons at us, in five minutes, I think it was. I thought Cyprus was on our side?

I'm either with the UK/US alliance shooting Iraqis or I'm with the terrorists blowing up Iraqis? Thanks for the choice.

Pro US forces deposed Chavez but he had some Venezuelan forces hidden away who ambushed the deposers and got Chavez back into power if I recall. He later died of cancer but not before showing South America how to break free of the IMF.

60% of Cyprus is one country and 35% is another, so it might be both with us and against us.

The closest country can spring an attack in the shortest amount of time, so it's France, like I said.

Chile can't attack Britain, instead the massed Llama attack would be on the Southern US, with a launch to target time of 45 days followed by weeks of Llama burgers.

if we were going to take out France, it would have to be a surprise pre-emptive nuclear strike, as France has got nukes, so we'd need to wipe them off the map. George Bush said that it was ok to strike first, ask questions later, after 9/11.. I agree with the great man. (George Bush).

I'm not sure that Ireland has a nuclear weapons program, but we should keep an eye on them, just in case, and like Iran, we should attack first, before they get nukes.

Iceland is the one country strategically placed to attack both the US and the UK with simultaneous surprise attacks.

It's only a matter of time before it happens, most likely sooner rather than later, unless we launch pre emptive strikes against their electrical and water supplies, eliminate the police, move the power from one party to another, produce huge levels of unemployment and generally do our best to start a civil war.

With everyone's focus on Asia, Britain has a once in a lifetime chance to seize control of Europe!

Can anyone honestly tell me that the French would not be better off with us in charge? And once we have secured continental Europe, we will be well placed to deal with the threats posed by Chile and Iceland.

To arms!
