Can anyone tell me about this? I'm in a conducting class and am conducting a marching band arrangement of Tschesnokoff's "Salvation is Created" (it's a really really horrible rendition, but I love the hymn). I did some research on it and discovered it was a Kievan Synodal chant, but I'm not sure which one, and is it related to Znannemy chant in any way?
Thanks, don't mean to drop in like this, I'm just trying to prepare

Kievan came from Znammeny. I think in this context Synodal means it was the local chant practice at the Bishop's main church. So it was Kievan, but according to a local practice in a given church with the singers there, etc. It is very pretty!
