Blynn,
I apologise for being so blunt. I understand were you are coming from, I am just tyred of the one sided story we are fed in the west.

Nothing personal.

Sorry

Celtic

John,
I get the impression that you think apologies are a waisted of time: confused:

;)

Remember;

Matthew 18
21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

So if this is relevant to you, then I have heard god right.

This is relevant to you is it not john???

As I have just finished writing a history of the Aum Shinrikyo, I have a possible idea of what bin Laden is going to do next. He seems to be following their blueprint in his acquisition of weapons of mass destruction, right down to pretesting on animals.
I personally think his organisation is either going to follow the next part of the Aum tragedy by using sarin or a related nerve gas.
The Aum Shinrikyo sarin attack in Tokyo killed 12 persons (13 if you count an unborn baby).
Consider that those terrorists were not military strategists. They were a doctor, an engineer, and 3 physicists, and that their weapon was diluted to a very weak strength and not completely released because these terrorists feared for their own lives.
Al Qaida differs in that its terrorists do not have that fear.
The point of this posting is simple. First, pray for our nation. Secondly, if you notice something "strange" going on (people becoming severely ill within minutes, someone leaving a container of a liquid or a device spraying something in a public area, your vision suddenly changing, etc.) hold your breath, quickly move from the location to fresh air, and call 911 at once.
I posted this message not to frighten nor to take our focus away from Jesus, but to call attention to a clear and present danger and give some advice that could save your or someone else's life.

>>I get the impression that you think apologies are a waisted of time:

An apology benifits the person who makes the apology. I rejoice for them, that they are wanting to repent of their sin. Forgiveness benifits the person who does the forgiving.

Of course in order to have a fully restored relationship, it takes both people working together for things to be restored. This of course has to do with love, mercy & grace. Under the law the offender has to be punished for their offense, then the offended gets to know that justice has been served to the offender. I would think you have a lot more restored relationships under grace, then you would under the law. Thanks, JohnR7

Celtic good post you are right i will post some for you

If you are still shaken by the horrifying scenes of September 11, please observe a moment of silence for the 5,000 civilian lives lost in the New York, Washington, DC and Pennsylvania attacks.

While we're at it, let's have 13 minutes of silence for the 130,000 Iraqi civilians killed in 1991 by order of President Bush Sr. Take another moment to remember how Americans celebrated and cheered in the streets.

Now another 20 minutes of silence for the 200,000 Iranians killed by Iraqi soldiers using weapons and money provided to young Saddam Hussein by the American government before the great eagle turned all its power against Iraq.

Another 15 minutes of silence for the Russians and 150,000 Afghans killed by troups supported and trained by the CIA.

Plus 10 minutes of silence for 300,000 Japanese killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the Atomic bombs dropped by the USA.

We've just kept quiet for one hour: one minute for the Americans killed in NY, DC, and Pennsylvania, 59 minutes for their victims throughout the world.

If you are still in awe, let's have another hour of silence for all those killed in Vietnam, which is not something Americans like to admit. The US went to another continent thousands of miles away and burnt tens of thousands of Vietnamese peasants with napalm.

Or for the massacre in Panama in 1989, where American troops attacked poor villagers, leaving 20,000 Panamanians homeless and thousands more dead.

Or for the millions of children who have died because of the USA embargoes on Iraq and Cuba.

Or the hundreds of thousands brutally murdered throughout the world by US-sponsored civil wars and coups d'etat (Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Guatemala, El Salvador to name a few).

Maybe, and although the memory of Americans claims otherwise, someone may remember the USA attack on Bagdad where 18,000 civilians were killed. Did someone see it on CNN? Was justice ever served? Or was there even any retaliation?

We hope that Americans finally begin to understand their vulnerability and the attacks and other tragedies that they have caused around the world.

The dead in other places hurt as much as the dead of the Towers, maybe even more!

What about the 560,000 Iraqi children (as per current UN data) who have died as a direct cause of the US supported sanctions against Iraq? Are these the children of a lessor God?

What about a new generation of nearly one million Iraqi children who are currently having their lives being ruined by improper nutrition, lack of medicine and inferior education because of US supported sanctions.

Now, let's talk about terrorism, shall we?

That was laughable billhabing.

How about lets tally up the amount of foreign aid doled out every year to other countries?

How many Americans were killed at Pearl Harbor?

Seems like South Vietnam wanted us there to help.

So, we shouldn't have helped the Afghans fight the Russians? That would have saved how many? Go communism!!

Massacre in Panama? Documentation please.

Iranians? You mean the ones that had the same agenda as Bin Laden? Annihalation of the west?? And it was state sanctioned.

Iraqi civilians? Proof anyone? BTW, how many Kuwaiti's and Kurds did we save?

U.S. embargoes on Iraq and Cuba? People were dying there long before we got involved...maybe it is the DICTATORIAL mad men they have in charge??

Iranians and Iraqis killing each other...hmm...were we even a country when that little feud started.

Civil coups in far off, exotic locales. Tell me what were their lives like before the coup?

You bought that 60's stuff hook, line, and sinker

BTW, did you know we are the only country in history to WIN a war and come out with less property than we had before? It was WW2 and we gave the Philipines their independence at the end of the war.

We rebuilt Japan, and most of western Europe at the same time. Ever hear of the Marshall Plan??

Name one other country that has involved itself in as much benevolent activity as the USA.

How much food has been sent to Ethiopia and other famished countries?

If all you ever look for is the bad I am sure you can find some. No country in history has been perfect. Why don't you look for some of the good and then weigh the two.

I was Just wondering why others are so angry with the usa, the money we dole out is always in our own best intrest.

I guess man will always be selfish. I don't understand why people are so sensitive when we take a critical look at ourselves.

Could it be time for Chriistians to become Christ like. Instead of having all the toys and fat bank accounts we could sacrifice a little to help the less fortunate?

Our economy will not recover this time, the luxury and pleasure we used to llive in is a thing of the past. This whole mess is abou greed, Living the way we do at the expense of others.

There was a guy who sat at the gate of a rich man with dogs licking his sores the rich man threw some crumbs his way but otherwise ignored him. As we throw our crumbs I think you can figure out the rest.

I don't mean to be crirical just christian I we would each give sacrificaly wat a differance we could make.

This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence wenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.

Billhabing,
I think more and more people are going to start opening their eyes and seeing whom the real beast (terrorist) is.

They are exposing themself terribly in the new millennium, they aren’t even trying to hide there evil anymore. I think it is because they have us all so conditioned that they don’t think enough people will dare talk against them because they know there will be those around who will tare down anyone who dares talk against the evil American govt. because they believe and have faith in an evil govt.

They will do what they can to shut anyone up that dare says that America is down right evil.

Yet they say it is all in the name of freedom????

They are already having their freedom striped away by the beast and they will support it until marshal law controls them all.

That was laughable billhabing.

How about lets tally up the amount of foreign aid doled out every year to other countries?

So, forine aid make it all ok then:confused:

Get real!! :D LMAO

America gives allot of aid so they have earned the right to blow the crap out of any poor povity stricken country that they don’t seem to like this year or wont toe the line????

please, spare me :p

If someone gave me things all the time and they think that gives them the right to beat my children, well you better believe me, not only would I throw all of the things they gave me in the bin were they belong but I would also beat them with in an inch of there life.

This is what America has coming to her for her multitude of atrocities.

She reminds me of a school yard bully that goes around with a gang of the toughest kids on the block and manipulates everyone and everything to do his will and if there is a person that wont do it, then that school bully tortures that kid until the child is liturgy terrorised and then they beat him some more for daring to not like the big fat ugly mean nasty cruel bully that is never nice unless he wants something. The most despicable of people.

This dosn’t even come close to explaining the trouble that America is adding to her atrocities (sins) and I tell you the truth. She will burn with fire and the lord will be the one to do it.

The lord will judge America with a rod of iron and there aid stinks all the way to hell.

This was probably even more laughable to you tericl2 but I can ashore you, I am not laughing about billhabing post, it is very accurate and extremely shocking to anyone that wishes to simply open their eyes and see the true terrorists.

The American govt. are the biggest hypocrites in the history of mankind, I am shore.

How can they call anyone terrorists, that is total hypocrisy coming from the greatest terrorists in the world for the last 50 yrs?

America makes sadam and bin laden look like Childs play!!!

Is this still a free country??

Or will I be persecuted for believing the truth.

Jesus said, “count it all joy to be persecuted for the truth”.

Thought I would slip that in before the barrage of offences made.

It really is time it was said though and it is going to be said by more and more godly Christian people because god is not in approval of Americas sick methods of destroying any that aren’t under there control yet.

America has proved one thing to me finally after all these years. I have wondered about her and her methods and I have come to a godly answer.

America sucks:D

Beyond laughable, getting down right ludicrous.

Can you prove with any documentation that his post was accurate??

Just the usual America bashing. No facts to back it up. Why don't you look at history under the light of truth instead of the skewed (and completely false) view of whatever America hating group you are getting your information from.

BTW, nice retort about the foreign aid! ROTFLMAO

Would you like to comment on the Marshall Plan. or Pearl Harbor? How about WW1 or WW2 in general?

I never said America was always right. I said the preponderance of the facts (and yes, I do mean facts) shows that the good ol' U.S. of A. is mostly good, with mostly good motives.

I don't believe most of Americia will ever get it. The church is so far from Jesus that even the Spirit of God is not listened to.

Most actualy believe that we represent God and are doing His work. Here is a portion of a prophecy posted the night before the wtc 9/10/01

The word of the LORD came to me: "Son of man, say to the prince of The United Nations, Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because your heart is proud, and you have said, 'I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the peoples,' yet you are but a man, and no god, though you consider yourself as wise as a god--you are indeed wiser than Daniel; no secret is hidden from you; by your wisdom and your understanding you have gotten wealth for yourself, and have gathered gold and silver into your treasuries; by your great wisdom in trade you have increased your wealth, and your heart has become proud in your wealth -- therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Because you consider yourself as wise as a god, therefore, behold, I will bring strangers upon you, the most terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom and defile your splendor. They shall thrust you down into the Pit, and you shall die the death of the slain in the heart of the seas. Will you still say, 'I am a god,' in the presence of those who slay you, though you are but a man, and no god, in the hands of those who wound you? You shall die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of foreigners; for I have spoken, says the Lord GOD."

Moreover the word of the LORD came to me: "Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of The United States, and say to him, Thus says the Lord GOD: "You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty (when you were formed). You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, carnelian, topaz, and jasper, chrysolite, beryl, and onyx, sapphire, carbuncle, and emerald; and wrought in gold were your settings and your engravings (your constitution). On the day that you were created they were prepared. With an anointed guardian cherub I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you. In the abundance of your trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God, and the guardian cherub drove you out from the midst of the stones of fire. Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you. By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your trade you profaned your sanctuaries; so I brought forth fire from the midst of you; it consumed you, and I turned you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who saw you. All who know you among the peoples are appalled at you; you have come to a dreadful end and shall be no more for ever."

Incinerated body of an Iraqi soldier on the "Highway of Death," a name the press has given to the road from Mutlaa, Kuwait, to Basra, Iraq. U.S. planes immobilized the convoy by disabling vehicles at its front and rear, then bombing and straffing the resulting traffic jam for hours. More than 2,000 vehicles and tens of thousands of charred and dismembered bodies littered the sixty miles of highway. The clear rapid incineration of the human being [pictured above] suggests the use of napalm, phosphorus, or other incindiary bombs. These are anti-personnel weapons outlawed under the 1977 Geneva Protocols. This massive attack occurred after Saddam Hussein announced a complete troop withdrawl from Kuwait in compliance with UN Resolution 660. Such a massacre of withdrawing Iraqi soldiers violates the Geneva Convention of 1949, common article 3, which outlaws the killing of soldiers who "are out of combat." There are, in addition, strong indications that many of those killed were Palestinian and Kuwaiti civilians trying to escape the impending seige of Kuwait City and the return of Kuwaiti armed forces. No attempt was made by U.S. military command to distinguish between military personnel and civilians on the "highway of death." The whole intent of international law with regard to war is to prevent just this sort of indescriminate and excessive use of force.

Here is one other article to think about, I don't hate America I just think we should do what is right.

Analyst Bob Djurdjevic wrote an insightful essay entitled "Collateral Damage Comes Home to Roost" where he states:

"When the 'world's only superpower' and its allies bombed and killed thousands of innocent civilians in Iraq and Serbia, Americans were told it was just 'collateral damage.' After all, we, the 'champions of democracy and the free world,' were only fighting the murderous regimes of Saddam Hussein and Slobodan Milosevic. Some civilian casualties were 'regrettable, but unavoidable,' the Pentagon, NATO or State Dept. spokesmen told us.

"Now the tables have turned. Terrorism begets terrorism. Unnamed terrorists, presumed to be 'Islamic fundamentalists,' have now killed thousands of innocent Americans while fighting, what they think are, the murderous regimes of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Now Americans know firsthand some of the terror the Baghdad or Belgrade residents felt when NATO bombers unloaded their deadly cargo on them...

"What we did to Iraq and to Serbia was a case of state terrorism. What unnamed terrorists did to us today was retaliation to state terrorism. 'Collateral damage' has come home to roost. 'What goes around, comes around.' 'He who plays with fire, gets burned by fire.'

"But make no mistake: This was NOT an 'Attack on America,' as CNN and other networks are hailing. This was a strike at the heart of the Washington-led New World Order. Signs are unmistakable. Just look at the targets: The World Trade Center/Wall Street, the Pentagon... Some sources speculate that one or both of the two hijacked planes that crashed in Pennsylvania might have been destined for either the White House or the Capitol.

"America and Americans, meaning innocent civilians who perished today, are 'just collateral damage.' As Iraqi and Serb civilians were. We are now paying for aggressions and crimes against humanity that our government has committed. Just as Iraqi and Serb civilians were. We've become expendable. Just as Iraqi and Serb civilians were.

"So whenever you hear a politician or a media personality say that this attack was 'unprovoked;' that this was a murder of innocent 'men, women and children;' that it was a strike at the 'American way of life' - and no doubt you'll see and hear much of that in the next hours and days - try a role reversal. Imagine that you're listening to an Iraqi or a Serb politician using those words in reference to victims of American bombs. And then you'll get a fuller picture of what transpired today."

I think they will hit the nuclear plants next. We live between two of them, so I hope this is incorrect.:) There probably is a group of bad people who call the shots on most of the world, but bashing your own country is wrong. We live in the best country in the world with it's faults and it's good points. And we so far still have freedom to be a Christian. I thank the Lord we are not in some other countries where a Christian is an outcast and maybe killed! Smiles

As someone who live in Singapore, and who search multiple sources for stuffs, I had come to conclude that America was responsible for many innocent deaths, such as those of the vietnam children. But America will not admit to it. (But I don't blame her. Which country will admit its own fault? While we point fingers at America, take a look at China and other countries. Everyone is claiming that theirs is the best country. Theirs is the country of true freedom, true democratic. But no country is perfect). However, America retailation on Afghnistan is not evil. Yes, innocent lives are lost. Many innocent lives (Both of Americans and Afghnistan people) but think! After an attack on Afghnistan, missionaries are no longer forbidden to enter the spirtiually dark country. Christ can now be shared to these Muslims.
I believe, that saving these people spiritually is so much better than all the physical helps we can give them. For by saving their souls, we save them for eternity. Then, they will hunger nor thrist no more for the lord will be them.
For this purpose, even though I am not fully agreeable with America, I support their actions. For anything that can bring more people to God, I support.
I consider myself not a citizen of Singapore or the world, but a citizen of God.
You are free to refute any of the points I made. For I always keep an open mind to accept new things!
