A Bogan is a uniquely Australian term of endearment for a redneck type person for anyone who doesn't know. Most of us have grown up with it as a possibly amusing description.

I have been talking about this with someone and we canot work out which place in Australia takes the crown as our bogan capitol.

Any ideas?

Not just Australian. It's used in NZ too - my wife claims to have been one when she was growing up. She certainly lived in the right part of town lol

For what? Do they taste good?
I have never tried one.

I can confess as a teenager in the 80's to having a mullet and wearing a flanno shirt concurrently for a time while it was trendy...with a studded belt and stretch denim jeans. 1984-1985. My last flanno got used to change the oil in a car many years ago.

I live in Logan and I'm not a bogan! Wonder whatever happened to calling uncouth Australians "ockers"?
The transition occurred when the first Ugg boot wearing surfer grew a mullet and moved to the western suburbs only to return to the beach wearing black stretch denim jeans and a moon tan and bringing an esky full of VB beer instead of a board.
