Jewish man mocked for helping women in labor

In my dream, there was a Jewish man who was talking to a bunch of what I thought was other Jews as well. But this man was distinguished by his dark hair and beard. He was a handsome and jovial fellow. He was explaining to the group of men that he has helped women deliver babies and the other men mocked him for it and the 'leader' of the group was trying to find a book about this man or authored by him. I dont know if it was me or the dark haired man, but I remember one of us explaining that its not all that hard. The woman does the bulk of the work anyways.

What does it mean?

It could mean a couple of things, but what came to mind was Jesus is the "Jewish deliverer" and the women who do the bulk of the work is the church (bride of Christ). The "other" Jewish men (doubters/unbelievers within the church) are looking for written proof. Does this scenario apply to your bible study, personal observation, or an image of what is happening in your church currently?? Doubt./proof/over worked=bulk of the work/male vs female imbalance of duties and ministry/our guiding Lord being replaced with the efforts/works/intellect of men/women??

Exactly..(.as seen in the dream as the other Jewish men who represents doubters/unbelievers). As civilized educated people these days, when we want guarantees and proof.... it has to be "in writing"... and we want to know of their credentials. The Lord's credentials and proof was in His teachings (he was the "author/teacher" whos' writings they and their leader were pursuing). It is good that they were still searching.

It is a good dream that gives you really nice pespective on some issues of walking in the Spirit. Why do you think the women felt they did the bulk of the work, and that it was not hard work?

Could some of this apply to your old church?

Hi Anon2013,
I find this quite interesting and I see it has to do with a part of your calling in life - we all have one and the Lord is revealing something of yours to you which is very exciting. Approx 95% of people's dreams are about themselves (usually anyway). I did not receive my first prophetic dream for many years, although God does as He pleases so I won't hold Him to it! LOL

I'll break down the symbolism here for you:
A Jewish person here symbolizes the people of God - so these Jewish men represent Christians. I believe the Jewish man represents yourself - I've often had the Lord show me myself as a man in my dreams (the dream I had about Christians shooting at one another was a huge example). The reason Father does this is to reveal some aspect of yourself. Men in the word of God symbolize a few things but in this particular dream I believe the men represent a line of thinking & certain mindsets. What I'm seeing Papa saying is that your mindset is different from the mindset of others, and He is pleased with this. Because you do not have the same mindset, other Christians will mock you & reject you. Father is showing you that a time is coming when you will be used to birth giftings into the body of Christ. Many will not accept you (they'll question & make fun) - but do not fret, because it is the way of Calvary for us to be rejected, judged and put down by other Christians who do not understand how God uses us. There will always be someone who puts us down or tries to usurp God's call on our lives, but as the Lord has said to me many times over the past few years, do not worry about what man thinks of you, only be concerned with what Abba thinks of you - If you are approved in Him that is all that counts.
Did you have this dream after asking Father for some the other day?

PS... I neglected to mention, the beard represents wisdom & maturity. And the fact you are seen as "handsome" signifies the Father is pleased with you as you are or will be in upright standing before Him as this comes to pass.
God bless you as you enter into all He has for you

I don't usually like to think of the Holy Spirit as symbolized by a physical person, but there may be some parallels between the Holy Spirit & the man in your dream.

Jews come from Judah which means "Praise", so perhaps also have a think about the man symbolizing praise & see if you can come up with anything.

A little bible teaching sideline ...
An interesting note from Leah's child-bearing is that initially she was hoping that children would change Jacob's attitude towards her & cause him to love her. You can hear her heart cry in Gen 49:31-35. But when Judah was born, this changed & she seemed to focus back on the Lord & perhaps gain a sense of worth from the Lord instead of seeking it from Jacob. After she did this, over time, it seems the Lord did a work in Jacob's heart as he buried Leah with his ancestors & asked to be buried where she was buried.
