Keep believing that, the people know who is to blame. You want to blame Obama then give him all his program including the tax hikes you refused, if it fauils then you can blame him but till the Republicans are willing to pass legislation and it is his and not partly theirs I am sure the american peiople will vote according to who is the true obstructionists.

Seriously, stop with the revisionist history. The sequester was OBAMA's idea. Obama promised to reduce spending and Republicans were stupid to believe a word Obama said.

Part of Obama's term, the Democrats had complete control of the government, they didn't need a single Republican vote to do anything they wanted... The policies put forward by Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Obama were so bad that they had to bribe Democrats to vote for it (Obamacare).

Conservatives dropped support of an individual mandate years earlier when they thought about what the consequences would be, so this idea that Republicans were originally for this is only a half-truth designed to falsely paint people as being racist.

While I'm sure the Republicans will get blamed by the left-wing ideologues that call themselves journalists and that low-information voters will continue to buy it. The country is going to continue to deteriorate until either our country completely collapses or the people finally wake up and stop falling for the leftist propaganda pushed by the leftist media.

I don't even understand half of what you wrote. But don't forget that Obama has the benefit of the Bully Pulpit and a media that is on his side. The republicans have neither.

I would agree that there a large number of Republicans who are against any cuts to the military but there are also many Republicans who are willing to identify waste in defense spending and pass an alternative set of cuts equal to what is proposed in the sequester. From what I have read recently there seems to be concerns about where the sequester is targeting the defense spending, primarily focused on the operations and maintenance account which could affect readiness. There seems to be some efforts as of recently to allow the military the flexibility to strategically implement a prioritized set of cuts. Why this wasn't allowed as part of the sequester is beyond me?

The other issue regards matching the total amount proposed to be cut in the sequester with an equal amount for an approved alternate set of cuts. Unfortunately, Obama is set on negotiating additional tax increases to cover part of the costs totaled from the sequester. This is a non-starter with the Republicans and he knows it. The republicans compromised on tax increases for the first part of the fiscal cliff negotiations, the second part of the negotiations is about spending cuts. I even read that Paul Ryan agrees that we should consider closing tax loop holes but not as part of the discussion regarding the spending cuts in the sequester.

Honestly, I don't understand how it would be impossible for both parties to agree on spending cuts that amount to no more than $85 billion.
