God is able to keep you... pure, holy, righteous, sanctified. Right in the middle of sin. Because Jesus paid the price... He became what we were on the cross so we can become what He is. The price He paid is so amazing, so great, so awesome all I can do is praise Him!!!

Not some old dirt bag just saved by Grace... But the very righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. He's not even holding sin against us in any way shape or form... You just can't beat it!!! WOOT WOOT...

2Cor 5:19 It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).

I've a little question. I'm a firm believer in grace; but the Book of Revelation sometimes just give me questions.

For example:
Rev 22:14
14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

in V14, what does it mean to "wash their robes"? Isn't our robe of righteousness already spotlessly clean because of Jesus's sacrifice?

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Looks like a difference, in Bible versions, I cannot grasp the translation.

Your translation must use robes,as a metaphor.
I do not see a connection between the two.

What version are you using?

The use of a verb in this context, may reference a works based theology.

wow, thanks! didn't realised it was a translation issue.

I'm using the NIV and sometimes NKJV. Looks like the NIV translators took the liberty to "twist" the scripture as we'll call it. :)

As an illustration, check this out, I just did a study of another "problematic works based" verse in Revelations 19:8.

It seems that only a few got the translation of righteousness instead of righteous work "right" when referring to linen. Even the NKJV and NIV got it wrong.

New International Version (©1984)
Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.)
New Living Translation (©2007)
She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear." For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God's holy people.

English Standard Version (©2001)

Very nice work,to compare that many.

I believe the debate over translations,is a valid one.
With the Bible being the Word of God,it is best to use one that the translation doesn't change the fundamental Gospel or remove the divine being of Christ.

A Irish Professor had a very long study side by side on video.
It was alarming to see so many changes,I did not finish the video.

What surprised me was the N.K.J was modified more than the Jehovah witness Bible.
I was under the assumption it would be the closest due to the name.

I will try to find the video and P.M it to you,God bless
