My goodness! Is there actually disagreement on this topic.

To summarize:

McDonalds advertises a certain fact A about their Chicken McNuggets.
Certain customers patronize McDonalds because of advertised fact A and would not patronize McDonalds but for fact A.
Without warning to said customers, McDonalds serves McNuggets for which fact A is not true.
Said customers sue McDonalds for false advertising and win.

Seems pretty cut and dry to me. It only becomes controversial when you point out that said Customers are halal-observing Muslims and that fact A is that said McNuggets are halal. The fact that these added details are relevant to so many people betrays a certain irrational fear and hatred toward Muslims it seems.

I don't have anything to add to this particular subject, but - on a recent trip to Israel I saw a "Kosher" sign beneath the Golden Arches. I wondered how difficult that would be. Also, $700,000 is a very, very small drop in a very large bucket as far as McDonald's is concerned.

But it sounds sooooooooo big to conservatives. Plus, they're Muslims. They'll probably use the money to build a mosque and raise little terrorists on Happy Jihad Meals.

I personally fear that they will ... but I still think that the lawsuit is just.

McDonalds is in the wrong here.

Food restaurants should clearly be labelled halal, so Muslims can make a clear choice on whether they are following Islamic dietary Law. A great deal of restaurants here in London are halal, but they are clearly marked as such, and could never get away with serving non-halal food.

And look at the faith icons of everyone who blamed the victims just because they are muslim. Were any of them not conservative Christians?

So....based on a single thread on an internet-forum, you feel you can say: "This is what conservative Christians think". Are you serious??

I took the poster to mean all conservatives too. If you aren't meaning all, you should say some Christian conservatives.

I agree with this. We need to be careful about generalizing. I have noticed that this thread doesn't seem to fall right down the liberal/conservative line at all. We should not pretend that it does, so as to be able to label those who we disagree with.

Sadly it would not surprise me at all if the chicken nuggets were made from cat or dog meat. I dare say that there so called chicken barely constitutes what would normally be conceived as chicken.
