• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. How nice this is reading the Bible and commenting! Maybe other people will do so too. What does it mean in Matthew 10:13 as it says: "If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you."? What does this mean that "the home is deserving"? And I wonder what it is to take up one's cross.

I think it means if the house the disciples go to is unwelcoming or unfriendly towards their doctrine they should not pray over the house. If it welcomes their teachings with open arms then they should pray over the household.
My thoughts on taking up one's cross: It's to deny this world for Jesus' sake. What I mean is denying the sinful ways of this world and following the example that the Lord set by living in righteousness in the sight of God.

Mark 5:43: "And he strictly charged them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat." Why no one should know?

To answer your question about John the Baptist. I don't think there is a deeper meaning to what he ate. He ate that because he spent his time in the wilderness.
About your second question, I think Jesus did not want people to know He was the Son of God just yet.

it's a very wise thing to compare them, especially because marcus and lucas and mathew have so much in common, but say it in a kind of different way. why i think it is good to compare them is because i have done that the same a bit. i dont overstudy though and can remember it very easily at times.

the part which will always stay with me is the part of the man on the island who has been banished by his people and gets chained up, but breaks the chains every time, and punishes himself with stones.

jesus sets him free. (it is the many in which many live, name; legio) and tells him that he should speak of what happened to the people.

but not all three witness of this in the same way.. (3, math, marc and luc)

myzelf i have to go read my bible again really though i do my own writing..on my own paper.. (a: al(l).. every..)

so the last part i did read in words is in numeri where the 'lord' tells moses the first born of the levitians belong to him; the lord. placing the direct relation with the part where moses sends out the levitians, with a sword and a sheet around the waste, to move through their own family, and 3000 died that day...... how the chronologically then should be seen i dont know. but my life is mine (own) and belongs to the sun and all nature. and everything which comes with that. and like i say i have my own programmed (b: with.. through.....)

(betrayal i cant, sorry if i do sound so)

i tore out the page, and did it in an envelope . wrote the text over on the back of the envelope. wrote my own text, saying what i think about it. that each has his or her own life.

btw i got word, sounds only exists on earth, so the light has not really got a sound...sss


and reading the bible in my case goes in a way of prayer, so for now i will not read/speech yet........anymore.. (schizo)

should i be paranoid...?

Mark 7:36: "And Jesus charged them to tell no one. But the more he charged them, the more zealously they proclaimed it." Why did they proclaim then? And Mark 8:12: "And he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation.”" What does it mean no sign is given?
