Photographing and Fingerprinting? It's as though she expects all of us are criminals waiting for a chance.

I can't see this making it through congress without substantial changes.

Even if it did, it'd get thrown out as unconstitutional faster than you would believe. Ex Post Facto and all...

Let's see if Congress can actually do something!
ya. Just imagine all the other weapons still allowed to be legal. This is not restricting anybody's 2nd amendment considering the 2nd amendment never specifies which arms the people have a right to keep and bear.

I guess it was to much to hope people would focus on discovering underlying causes for these shootings. Instead all we get is attempts to disarm the working class on one side and "LOL let's give everyone guns" on the other.

We do "Knee jerk reaction" much better then "Root cause analysis". Besides, actually dealing with the underlying causes of these shootings would be difficult, time consuming, and cost money.

We could leave sling shots and pea shooters legal so everyone has their second amendment rights but those sling shots and pea shooters also could put out an eye very easily you know if your not careful and why should we trust anyone to be careful?

This really defines the choice; in ultimate terms, you either have a society where everyone can get a gun (including nuts and crooks) or you have one where no one has guns except police and the military. While many people live under the latter, and many are clamoring for the USA to adopt that model, it always leads to tyranny and genocide.

Imperfect as they are, free societies work because there are far more "good guys" than "bad guys", and with guns, the good guys can overpower the bad ones.

I can hear the Brits in England, Australia and Canada yelling "We haven't had any genocide!"

Be patient. It will come. It always does.

It's not about putting out eyes (Although funny) or even keeping only certain kinds of arms... it's about having the freedom of defending ourselves against a government who carries superior weapons to ours. If secret service, ATF, NSA,CIA, and all the others get high capacity, high velocity, auto and semiautomatic, what happens with the takeover?

What about predator drones? Don't we have the right to each own one to counter our evil government?

A predator drone wouldn't do much; 150,000,000 people armed with real guns would make a difference.
