Two months after my wedding my best man was getting married overseas in Malaysia, but at that time I was out of a job and didn't have the means to get there. So I prayed about it, but didn't then think much of it. I still belived somehow I was going to get there, and began planning to put aside some money for a plane ticket.

Then one day out of the blue, another mutual friend (who's not a Christian) of ours from Malaysia who couldn't make it to my wedding offered to sponsor me a ticket there when he heard I wasn't sure I was coming. It was only then after I put down the phone I realised God had answered my prayers when I least expected it, and from one of the last places I expected it from. :D

Ain't God good!!

The last BIG answer to prayer was for a friend of mine to come to church and to get saved, I've been witnessing to him for a while, anyway,
A preacher that I know across town who DIDN'T know I was praying for this person went to visit him and led him to the Lord!
God knows best and works in His time and way.

The questions is:
What's the last thing you prayed for that came to be?

Well, I woke up this morning with a shocking headache and before I got out of bed, I looked to the cross acknowledged Jesus as my healer in the same way as I acknowledge Him as Saviour and "received" my healing by faith, in the same way as I received my salvation (by faith).

It should not be a surprise to you that before I left my bed (about 2 minutes) I could feel my headache disappear so that when I was out of bed it had gone.

You might consider this to be a trivial example, but I think not. God is interested in everything that affects us, no matter how big or small. It demonstrates to me, at least, that God fulfils His word to us that Jesus at the cross took not only our sins, but also our sickess/diease, shame, poverty, unrighteousness...to name but four.

So I have no problem in turning to the cross and receiveing the healing for which Jesus paid.

That's my honest answer to your question.

Many blessings.....

the last thing? God to direct my steps regarding my future.

In the last 78 hours after that prayer, this has happened in response to that prayer- events beyond my control:

-my job cuts my hours from 40 a week to less than 15.
-my parents get a lot of money (meaning I dont have to support them anymore).
-im getting a computer for school.
-ive registered for school and all the classes i need are perfect with my schedule of part time work.

Last week I get permission to visit Texas in mid March for possible school and work.

Three weeks ago I 'met' my future wife. ...who lives in Texas.

before that? well, little financial thingys, needs met, you name it. A month ago God gave me a free guitar from a friend saying God had been telling him to give it to me for a month. This was six months after I gave God an ultimatum: that if he wanted me to learn to play guitar, he would give me a nylon stringed one...and thinking God wouldnt do that, I forgot about it...until last month. *g

We serve an amazing God.

I've been praying since my grandfather died that my mom would "get along with" her aunts. When my grandfather died, he left my grandmother essentially helpless due to her Alzheimer's and weak body. She was put into the hospital because she thought she was having a heart attack. However, she wasn't...but the doctors wouldn't release her unless she had a supervised place to go (nursing home) or there would be someone to stay with her at the house (24/7 aid).

My mom wanted her to go into a nursing home. In the long run, it would wind up cheaper and would get her the help she needed. Her aunt (who had power of attorney) wanted her to have an aide. Guess what grandma got.

After that, my mom absolutely refused to attend any family function. She wouldn't talk to any of the relatives on the phone to even find out what was going on with grandma. And it didn' seem they were making any efforts to get in contact with her.

Then a few weeks ago grandma fell, was put back in the hospital, and mom's aunt calls her up. They need to put grandma in a nursing home.

It took awhile, but they are starting to see stuff from the same point of view now and are agreeing and keeping in contact more. Definitely very incouraging. :)

The last BIG thing I received from God a few months ago was peace. After my Dad had a major stroke that left him unable to talk/walk (I am an only child so all major decisions fall on me), and we sold a house and moved, my stress level was very high and I was beginning to feel depression coming on. I am a very happy, optimistic person so feeling depressed and crying alot was very foreign to me. So I prayed and prayed for God to direct me in my decision making, and please, please grant the peace you promised in Phillipians 5:6-7. I laid my burdens at His feet, and told Him I was too weak to continue to carry them, and He answered my prayers. He slowed me down, and gave me that beautiful peace in my heart and my mind. My burdens are still there, but how I carry them are quite different.

The last immediate answer was a small one, but still quite amazing to me. In our new house we have two story windows in the back, and we have a bird feeder out there. Even though the feeder is quite aways away from the back of the house, every few weeks a bird would hit the window and within seconds, die. It made me so sad to see these small birds die. So one morning I heard a bird hit the window, and I began praying immediately, even as I walked to the window. Please don't let it die, Lord. I know that you even love the little sparrows. Please, Please. I walked out side and picked the little bird up, who was still breathing, and laid him under a little shrub. Continued praying - and in a couple minutes he flew away! The first one! And do you know, I've heard birds hit the window since, but never have I found them dead under the window. I know that it is small - but he answered my prayer, and continues even though I have not asked! Praise our faithful, loving Lord that even loves the little sparrows!

Two days after New Years this year our landlord said that we had to move. I live in a very small town with a strict school district boundary line. I was afraid that my children would have to change schools again. We moved to PA from Colorado 5 years ago.

I asked God to please find us a place to live in town so my children could stay in the same school. I know how much trouble we had finding a home to rent when we first moved here. It is almost impossible.

God did it though! He found us an apartment (that I did not even know existed) two blocks away from where we use to live.

I love this thread. It is very encouraging to read all of the replies.

God Bless,
Roberta
