I see this project as an emotionally inspired desperate attempt to conceive of a scriptural doctrine that doesn't condemn gays for being God's creation too.
And as such, perhaps it's hoped this Bible version, when there are over 100 of the traditional one available already, will act as a lifeboat of sorts for gay children especially. Those innocent one's who are trying to find themselves in a world that only wants to see them one way. And who are so depressed by intolerant caustic attitudes against them that they commit suicide. Or they are bullied or assaulted in the process of being told in all manner of arenas outside their own age group by adults that should realize the impact their attitudes have on young minds, that they're unacceptable as they are, and then commit self murder.
Perhaps a Bible that speaks of a God who creates in the name of love and does not charge certain of his creation to murder what he's created because there is only one way to love, is the method by which for now Gay's can find their way to be saved from those who are mortal and self-righteous.
Creating a God in their image and likeness. Meaning, one who is love and doesn't damn those who don't love in a way omniscience disapproves, condemns and charges must be killed, after creating it.
