I don't know I don't plan ahead all that well, I'm more excited about this whole New Earth thingy.

Pretty stoked about chilling with Jesus, petting some lions, and other cool stuff.

I think it's possible we'll have easy access to other worlds, solar systems, etc. I would like to visit them to see what they're like first-hand. I'm also looking forward to being a good tennis player again

What you will be doing will be based on what eternal position you earn. The best positions go to the overcomers (see Rev 2&3). Your life is your job interview for your position for the rest of eternity. Some will barely crawl through the gates as spiritual babies while others will spend an eternity in the throne room in positions a like king or priest.

Salvation is a gift, rewards for eternity are earned! You don't want to end up poor (rewards wise), blind (spiritually) and naked (lacking robes of righteousness) on the streets of gold. It is for the spiritually mature to gain the greater rewards. There will be a broad range between the least and the greatest in the kingdom.

Heaven will not be an endless party. It will be eternal life so the question is, what position are you qualified for within the kingdom? Will you be a janitor or will you be say a ruler over nations?

I guess you mean other planetary systems. There is only ONE 'solar system' around the star Sol, ie our sun.

Perusal of few questions have generated more excitement for me.
I was raised as a Christian. It was assumed I wanted to be saved. Our evangelism assumes everyone would want to be saved. Well, there was a moment in time a few years ago when that got questioned. Saved? Why? To sit on a cloud and play a harp? But I like big pipe organs. They dont sit on clouds well and it needs a large cathedral to get mixed up in. Spend eternity wearing a divot in the gold street nodding praises to God? That has its time a place but for eternity? UHH, count me out. In a post I cant really do justice to the imaginings that have followed from looking at Genesis 1 and 2 and other passages.

I am an R&D technician. It is my nature to peruse the corners of nature and watch it do things or find ways for it to do other things. I look forward to being able to have a laboratory in which to study and make things. Chat with Jesus. Show Him my discoveries and have Him seed my mind with new riddles to solve. Help my wife with delicious smelling herb gardens. Play games in meadows. Play with dolphins and have them show me nooks and crannies in their space. Burrow into a honeysuckle bush with my wife Sit near a trunk of the tree of life, munching its fruit, and chatting with friends. Then those Sabbaths when all the saints meet in the Holy City to sing, praise, and hear Jesus explain things. Here He could hold the attention of little boys so they forgot to eat their lunch! What will that be like! That is something eternity cant quench.

With a picture like that in mind doesnt evangelism make more sense? Isnt it more fun? Doesnt it make our invitation more urgent?

I believe that you are the closest to getting it right. We will certainly be so in love with God and grateful to Him that we will be praising Him and singing and shouting. There will be no more tears but laughter and smiles and joy.

Maybe our faces will be radiant too as like when Moses saw God and his face became radiant.

I do not mean to offend anyone, but being in heaven will not be a party and to suggest so seems irrevent to me. The Bible says we should not mock God and this seems to be real close to it.

by the same token, being in hell will nnot be the party some believe either.

I will be happy to meet other great people that I read about in the Bible and enjoy eternal life with them.

I have thought about it too and my problem is I do not act like this now.
I am shy , quiet, one of those that do not get vocal in Church services or sporting events, so I find it hard to imagine being different in heaven.
To be like this my personality would have to change , so would I still be me?
This is something I struggle to understand.

I do not think we go to heaven to enjoy ourselves, live as worldly people, treat it as a big holiday.
We are there to worship God and serve Him.

Maybe I am wrong?
