YAY ENGLISH! :) Also yay arabic.

Something with legs that went squish when I grabbed it just landed in my collar >_< I'm in bed, in the dark. Thing is squished and dropped down the side of my bed. Ew!

there is a 6 foot long monitor lizard at our firing point here in Afghanistan, a stray dog that romps around our howitzers and night, and the constant fear of seeing a camel spider.

In cool news, on today, 12/10, the featured picture on the search engine Bing is a monastery at Meteora.

I try....hey, you're Scottish. They aren't lacking in the honesty or temper department either! ^_^:p I do have some Scottish in me (heck, even my name! :p) but I'm mostly Irish, German, English.

I saw this Ouzeri thing on here for years now, just never had the curiosity to actually look it up. Still seems odd.

oh my - such honesty :D

No, I'm not excited about going home at all. Not in the least. Actually, I'm dreading it. I'm dreading being able to eat actual food and sleep and drive and speak English.

Kidding! :p

I hear you man DFAC chow for the past few months (with 6 to go) is nothing to be desired. although, I know I gave a shout out about the green tea, I have another one: the bread. the flatbread here is off the hook.

I had a camel spider appear in my tent one night in Iraq. I nearly destroyed my little corner of the tent killing the thing with a boot I grabbed next to my cot. My tent mates got a good laugh out of it though.

hahaha, I hear you man. the first couple of nights I swear I heard scuttling sounds under our floorboards, and I was just waiting for a camel spider to crawl over my face.

Even boot camp food was better than the DFAC! But they do have some good chicken, grilled cheese and cheesecake. If not for the line and cost I'd be tempted to have Subway everyday.
