I'm really sorry to read you are under such stress from total lack of privacy, with your young son, Courtney. That is a heavy row to hoe. No doubt about it. We all need that time and space for ourselves. Even Jesus and his apostles used to go off alone (or try to!), from time to time, to recharge their batteries.

They say among themselves at NASA that it is a protected environment (or some such) for Aspergers people! As you probably know, they often have a flair for maths and science. I hope he makes enough to keep you and hubby in fine style, when you're both retirees.

Paul, Thank you. Your posts always bring a smile to my face.

Yes, the total lack of privacy is a big factor in me wanting to get high to escape. I just cannot take it sometimes. Today is one of them, but have not used.

My little Aspie has a flair for reading...he can read anything you put in front of him and has been able to since he was about 3. Maybe NASA someday - you never know.

Off to fight the good fight...

God bless you for your encouragement and prayers! I am taking an hour at a time. I am craving being high or numb so desperately but have no access right now (that will change when my husband comes home - I can't convince him to flush his vicodin...he keeps it in the car, but it is still within access to me).

I am needing prayer for me to re-dedicate my life to God. I am saved and I know that but I am not living for Him like I know I should be. I need encouragement. God bless!

Blondie, how are you doing? As far as the Vicodin, living without it is possible. I had to take it for physical pain (arthritis) in the past, but in retrospect and now that I have months' worth of clean time on my hands, I'd rather live with the pain. What pain meds did to my stomach alone is a great deterrent. Now I stay active, and when the knees begin to ache, I simply rest. In other words, I get done what I need to during the early part of the day, and elevate my legs during the remainder of it. Praying for anyone who suffers from pain med addiction to be delivered from it, pain can be managed without drugs, Glory to God!
