Wrong about what? If Blasphemy is taught in the bible and I'm using the bible as my reference cause I believe it is the inerrant word of God, then how can I be wrong?

Really?

Dear me.

You could be wrong about your belief that it is inerrant; or it might be inerrant but you might have misread it.

Do you consider that these things are possible?

God's word is God's word! No, I believe the bible is God's inerrant word. And according to his word "blasphemy" according to the New Testament perspective, the real blasphemers were those who denied the messianic claims of Jesus and rejected His unity with the Father (Mark 15:29; Luke 22:65; Luke 23:39).

Do you believe you have a soul?

And if you've misread or misunderstood the word, or it turns out your reasons for thinking the bible is inerrant don't hold up, then you would be wrong.

But I take it you are claiming that there is no possible way your opinions are wrong?

no possible way. See, I don't make up in my mind what is right and wrong. My beliefs come from the Holy bible. And the Holy bible is the inerrant word of God.

But you are subjectively interpreting the Bible, and you have some argument in mind as to how the Bible can be inerrant - so there are two things that could very easily be wrong as they are both grounded in your human fallibility. But again, displaying your lack of ability to think critically, you are incapable of acknowledging this.

Anyway, thanks for finally answering the question. Like I said, it sure explains a lot. Someone unwilling to consider that their significant beliefs are wrong, well - I usually find they're wrong on a great many things. Doesn't really help your credibilty. Not that it was flying high in the first place.

Now - define "soul", please.

Yup??? You answered Yup, are you saying you believe you have a soul?

No, I'm saying "Yup" as in "Yup, you are indeed asking me".

I was acknowledging that by pointing out that I was asking a question about your question for clarification.

So again, please, define "soul".

Excuse me momentarily, I need to go smash my face into my desk several times, and then I might go have a drink.

Can I suggest reversing that order? If you're going for two separate attempts at minor brain damage I would recommend doing the pain-numbing one first :D

I want to know your definition of what a soul is and if you believe you have a soul. In your atheism you must have come to some kind of definition in order to deny the existence of God.

Kinda right, but for the wrong reasons. I was religious and then became an atheist but not all atheists occur that way. I also ask for a definition as it never helps to be talking at cross purposes, especially with someone with a lack of critical thinking ability.

Soul as in some non-physical part of us that proceeds after death? No, I don't believe they exist. No evidence for them.

No evidence for them? I don't know who them is. But am I right in my understanding that you do not believe you have a soul?

That's pretty well correct... there is no evidence there is such thing as a soul.

I conceive of the "soul" as an emergent property of our nervous and endocrinal system, not a supernatural entity existing independently from our bodies.
We are our bodies: our hormones determine our feelings, our memories - as encoded within our synapses - define our identity, etc.
