Meeting people who can't have kids....

Ok I really want my own child but every woman I have met in the last year has had a hysterectomy but had their own children and some were 2 years old or younger. Should I think that God doesn't want me to have my own children? Or is this my sign that this person is not the one He has in mind for me??

Woman what if a guy you met had a vasectomy?

Do we abandon our dreams of being a parent to our own children? Or are we the one's God has put in the other persons life to fill their void??

This is actually a big part of why I got divorced. We both had issues, the dr seemed to think I wouldn't have any problems getting pregnant once I was in the right prescription. Then when I didn't, he got tested and well... So he felt he didn't have an option but to leave me so I could find someone who could give me kids. Now I'm starting over. Mind you this was not the only reason we split, but it's a big one. Don't give up.

Psalm 37:4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

I'm praying for you, starting over is so hard. I was your age when I begun starting over.
I'm not going to give up, thank you!!

Sorry, this thread just makes me feel uncomfortable.

You know, you don't have to read any thread or post that makes you feel uncomfortable. This is an understandable issue some of us have to deal with and it nice to have support of other believers.

And thank you for your prayers Brian.

Yes my age is a big factor but do I try and date much younger women?

Eek, I don't know, you shouldn't ask me that question cause I haven't always been a fan of older men dating much younger women, so I am a little biased in that area.

But, maybe open your heart and mind a little and see where it takes you? I don't mean stray from what you believe in and what is right for you, but maybe you will meet a woman who has a child but also wants to have children with you?

I have dated younger, and my age and for a long time I thought I should stay with my age but the kid question always comes up. So that almost leaves older women out. So IDK what to think or do other than pray and try to have an open mind about it all.

You deal with the disappointment that not having your dreams fulfilled in the meantime and you live a peaceful life till either one, your dreams change and the new dreams gets fulfilled or you find what your dreams tell you, you want.

This is apparently weighing heavily on your heart, and that's understandable. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing wrong with your desire to start a family. If finding someone compatible means dating a younger woman, or whatever else it might entail, then that's how it will be. Don't let anyone discourage you.
