^^ Nice play on words. :p

This topic came to my mind the other day, after reading about the limited amounts of interbreeding between h. Sapiens and h Neanderthalensis. That caused some of their genes (very limited) to be passed on. I really never thought about all of it, despite thinking that theistic evolution was the answer to how we got here.

Any who, perhaps h. Neanderthalensis was something akin to those who were on the earth when Adam and Eve went into the world. After all, Cain and Seth both had wives, but from where? And there is the mention of Nephilim (which some thought were giants, or angels, or who knows what). Who were they? Outside of "sons of God" and "men of reknown", there is nothing said about them in the Cannon.

Not that I am saying that the creation story is literal, or that a literal Adam and Eve existed. But perhaps early h. sapiens passed on stories from generations past, which included the knowledge of these 'other' people on earth, who happened to be Neanderthals.

Or not. :)

There has been a lot of debate on what the "Sons of God" are referenced to. But there is a mention to them in Job at the beginning. Satan and the "Sons of God" arrived, so they were definitely heavenly beings of some kind, fallen most likely.

I've proposed that on this forum before and it was not well received lol. Also remember Cain had to be marked before he was cast out to protect him from "others". What "other"?

If I remember right, most of the replies I got were something along the lines of the others being other family members basically. They assumed that a lot of time had already gone by, so the world was already fairly well populated at that point.

Did they, and other species of genus Homo have souls? If so, were they corrupted by sin?

If not, did Homo Sapiens develop a soul?

1. The Neanderthals were nothing but ancient Humans with severe arthritis. There is no evolutionary line between Humans and Animals...thats all just a fallacy to jettison God so people arent held morally accountable to him or be owned by Him.

2. Humans didnt 'develop' a Soul...rather, God infused a Soul into each and every Human Being sometime during their stay in their Mothers Womb. Its all right there in Psalm 139 . Further, it is impossible to have a partial Soul and it is impossible to have a non-material Soul coming from materials and chemicals -- A Soul consists of Mind, Will, and Emotions...and they cant come from rocks, dirt., planets, or hydrogen gas. Nor can they come from a chemical reaction of gasses and/or liquids. Such things only come from a LIKE SOURCE ... another Being that has the same attributes . His name is Jesus Christ, the Creator of the entire Universe that he spoke into existence from nothing and who carefully and precisely knit us together in our Mothers Womb so we could choose to have a personal relationship with him 'IF' we are so luck nowadays, to exit out of the womb in one living piece. Regards.

3. Absolute Truth comes from The Bible and not from the opinions, speculations, and ulterior motives of Men which include those with white coats called secular Scientists who cant consider intelligent Causes based on an apriori-commitment to atheism (which must never change) .

Since you seem to be relying on stereotypes of people who accept evolutionary theory, maybe you should do research on non-caricatures who are Christian and accept the science.

That's the thing, we don't have to accept the science. We believe the science is wrong. But almighty science thinks it's the final word, but all they have are theories regarding things they cannot observe. Science is practiced by fallible people and it's very possible, no matter how many degrees someone has, that science can be wrong.

For example, the existence of the Oort Cloud. No one has ever seen or observed it. Yet it's a scientific fact that it exists?

Im not doing 'stereotypes' on Evolutionists ... Im portraying them accurately and i even have direct quotes from Evolutionists who either claim Macro Evolution is taken on FAITH ALONE that it occured and/or a Creator must never be considered in a highly biased admission .

Lastly, im aware that that some Christians have been fooled and lied to regarding Theistic Evolution which God certainly didnt use per Genesis Chapter 1 and 2 and because Gods character and nature are severely compromised thru the hybrid-creation account of Theistic Evolution.

The answer isnt to try and infuse secular scientific speculation with Genesis Creation , but to hold fast to what God actually told us by how he created the entire cosmos so we could plainly understand . BioLogos has compromised the integrity of Gods Word / Gods character by trying to find applause from the secular scientific community that is forever changing their views on such issues because they dont know everything and where being in error is commonplace calling for a revamp of ideas . Im glad the Bible is as plain as day just as the Creator wished it to be.

I have a weird theory myself. Things didn't have to happen the way the naturalist view says. The earth has been around, possibly for billions of years. Maybe even more. Satan fell before Adam and Eve and when he fell, he fell to the earth.

The true translation of the beginning of Genesis is that the earth became form and void. So it has been around and possibly used.

I just don't accept the naturalist view. If God exists, as I believe He does, that changes everything. The earth had a purpose. It was a realm. Just as hell is underneath the earth. It's another realm. I think there is sooo much more than what we can see or observe and no naturalist view can explain it. The universe is full of supernatural beings, realms, sects that we cannot see.

Just curious !
How many of you (still) believe that God created this universe in 6 days ?

There was a poll on this about a year ago. IIRC, about 1/2 of the forum believed in theistic evolution, and almost half believed in the young earth theory.

Blessings!!

lol :D

Thanks for the heads up BTW:thumbsup:

I BELIEVE God exists, which makes God ACTUALLY exist, therefore, science is bunk.

Interesting !

I need to think about it...hmm.

Nooo I love science. I don't think it's ALL bunk. I love discovery and exploration. If I had any math skills at all, I'd probably be an Astronomer, Geologist or Archeologist right now. So no, I don't have a disdain for science as it seems most young earth creationists are.

I just think there are alternative ideas, thoughts, theories. I refuse to believe in the naturalistic view because God does exist.

Keep telling yourself that. I live fine with my faith in Jesus without having to believe stuff I know ain't so.
