Having lived around him for over 6 years (literally his next door neighbor for 2) I can say that Metropolitan Tikhon is an intensely prayerful man. As well as a humble monk. He is an excellent choice for Metropolitan. His only weakness is that he is perhaps too much of a monk. He has cut off his own will so much, that sometimes he has trouble making clear and precise decisions. I pray that God will grant him wisdom and discernment in guiding the OCA to where God wills Her to go. May God grant him many years. Axios!

AXIOS!

At the AAC in Seattle last year I actually met him a few times and my dad and I were even blessed to have lunch with him sometime after the Council had ended partly because we knew one of the priests from his diocesan administration. I will say this: Met. Tikhon = good guy and probably the sort of guy the OCA needs at this current moment in time. 'Nuff said.

AXIOS!

Yea, well ... axios?..

"Axios!" (Greek ἄξιος, "[he is] worthy") is an acclamation that is made by the faithful at the ordination of bishops, priests and deacons in the Orthodox and Eastern Catholic churches. The acclamation may also be made when a bishop presents an ecclesiastical award to a clergyman during the Divine Liturgy.

from Wikipedia

I had to look it up myself ^_^
