Interesting Factoid #1: I am a widower.
Interesting Factoid #2: I have a 9 year old daughter.
Interesting Factoid #3: I read a lot, or would if I had the time.
Interesting Factoid #4: I tell lots of jokes and stories. If you think something is true read to the end before you make up your mind.
Interesting Factoid #5: I'm not mature. I'm just perfectly timed
Interesting Factoid #7: I am outspoken and not at all politically correct. If I offend someone and what I said was biblically true, then it's there problem not mine.
Interesting Factoid #8: I have a 24 foot pontoon boat and love being on the water.
Interesting Factoid #9: I am Christian, American, Conservative and Republican in that order.
Favoriate Novel: The "Sword of truth" Series by Terry Goodkind (If you've seen the "legend of the seeker" TV show. Read the book sinstead. Much much better.

Even though this thread looks hardly used I figured I'd stop in and steal someone else's format to make an introduction.

I was very actively involved in another Christian forum where I ran afoul ofthe management. I have this nasty habit of speaking the truth (If you think I am saying something that is not true at any point I welcome you to correct me) and they just weren't to thrilled about making those statements.

Looking forward to playing with you all

How funny, I was just on another (political) forum where I said I didn't agree with the term "Christians condemning" whomever. I said that Christians don't condemn; they may share knowledge of the Bible and explain that some people will BE condemned..but that's not the same as actually condemning someone.

The person I was talking to said, well, yeah, but people perceive it differently.

I said that was their problem. I can't really help it if they don't understand English.

Anyway, thought your comment spoke that that...

I'm new here (obviously since this is my first post). :p

A friend told me she loves the singles group here so I thought I would check it out? Do I qualify as "mature"? I'm in my early mid 30's. I figure I'd check it out since I prefer more mature dialect as it is.

I will admit, this site is a bit visually busy for me but I'll adjust, hopefully fit right in and make new friends.

Hi jcrook,
Welcome to CF.
I think you missed the purpose of this introduction. Its for you to tell us who you are. The mature singles that have been posting here have got to know each other thru regular posts on the beard. Its you who are knew and who we don't know.
So I welcome you to tell us some of the basic things about who you are.

If the mature singles want to know each other, they need to to spend more and more time and explore each other , they need to know about there liking's and disliking s and respect each other. I guess this is the best way to know each other.

Well, uhm.....welcome .
For what it's worth, we probably know more about each other than some of us care to know LOL. Dayhiker is right, it is YOU we don't know anything about. And one should consider.....is it really wise, and a way to make friends, to come here and tell us how we should be? Do you regularly take advice from strangers that don't know you? Or are you more apt to listen to a close friend that has known you for awhile. The regulars around here have been posting together for awhile. I think we are very respectful considered to some other sections. Of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I'm not sure what you are basing it on. We agree to disagree quite regularly without flaming each other so I'm not sure why you wrote what you did. Of course I would look forward to your response.
