I kept thinking it was gonna turn into a screamo song. If your wife did that, and then dropped into that midway through the song, this would be a favorite!

Unfortunately, I felt this missed the mark. The sounds used do not fit her voice when it picks up. She has a great voice, but the sounds clashed. That guitar needed to be deeper and lower, as she has a high voice and gets muffled by the guitar. With a few tweaks here and there, I think this could have a great sound and be a great song!

Areas that could improve in my own opinion!
I think the mixing needs a little improvement if you are looking for more of a commercial kick. Other than that I find it to be a very good recording that is very good musically.

Great stuff! Improvement will come with time and experience, you guys will learn what can be pruned away and what should be left behind and since you are open to feedback it will happen quickly. Good work, God is good.
