Sorry 3rd party advocates - but none of you are going to pick a winner. And why vote if you dont intend to help? You are simply helping Obama get back in....if you think Johnson, Rosanne Barr oops - Stein, or Paul have a chance - because you are all divided up and there is no consistency. And well, most of the votes will be useless. Sorry - but EWTN's voters guide should be telling.

Do not help put Obama back in. That would be madness.

Look, simply put - Obama cannot win - if he does we are in deep doo doo. He will have no accountability and we will be sorry.

According to early voting - Obama seems to be ahead.

What in the 'tarnations' is wrong with this country? [My Grandma's term]
:sorry:

I think it is usually a better idea to pray for God to do what is best, or to change people's hearts toward him. Praying for a particular candidate to win just reeks of hubris.

Those who vote for third candidates are just helping Obama win?

Or maybe those who vote for third candidates are just helping Romney win!

Or, maybe those voting for Obama are helping him win, and those voting for Romney are helping him win, and that is why they will vote for third party candidates.

Have they already counted the early votes? Surely not until election day. Besides, just because Obama is getting the votes now, that does not mean that Romney's supporters won't show up on election day.

I'm going to be there if I have to walk. Which is an idle threat since I live half a block from the voting venue.

Good for you! Go vote.

I actually believe that everyone who wants to vote and is entitled to vote to go and VOTE!

If Obama gets re-elected Catholics will be harmed. Babies and women will be harmed. The economy will continue being harmed. And we both know that the country will be harmed (I can only hope not permanently).

Of course Warrior Angel the election will be tight. (You say that early voting has Obama ahead, and I have heard that Romney is ahead and has momentum.) We will just have to leave it to God. There are many people fasting and praying. (As far as the fasting, I figure that on election day we'll either have the world's greatest "pity party" or the world's greatest celebration. ;) )

But still, I don't think the election itself is going to be the most dangerous time for us. I think it will be the lame-duck session when all the politicians that who have lost (and therefore have nothing to lose) get to wreak revenge on us.

Oh about praying for a certain candidate to win being hubris--don't think so, not when even the Bishops are aware that if Obama get's re-elected, the Catholic Church will suffer. Obama is against religious freedom.

Everything is in God's hands. Of course, I'm tempted to say that if Romney loses, it's our own darn fault for not opening our eyes to what is going on. And I guess I will never understand why Catholics would vote to retain someone (third party voting is voting to retain Obama) when the Bishops themselves have come out against Obama's anti-Catholic and anti-God policies, especially since I know that we *could* make a difference.

JeffW, I see by your image that you are also bothered by the drone strikes. Did it give you any pause when Romney agreed with Obama's use of drones in the third debate?

Yes. But I believe Romney will listen to Americans much more so than Obama was willing to do. That is the advantage of being in the center and better representing the average American citizen.

Doesn't matter. Take a vote away from Romney by voting 3rd party is giving a vote to Obama.

I figure that there will be a lot of people voting not for Romney, but against Obama. Of course, if that's the only way to insure religious freedom, jobs, energy independence, and economic recovery because of certainty, so be it.

The final lesson of the debates is that it is difficult for an incumbent to overcome in a few hours the results of almost four years of his policies. If Mr. Romney does win, pundits' first reaction will be that it was primarily because of the first debate. They'll be wrong. They will be making the mistake of focusing on the symptom instead of the illness. It is Obama's dismal first-term performance that is causing voters who supported him in 2008 to give Mr. Romney a look. Mr. Obama made it clear he would give us more of the same, while Romney laid out a very different path.

A lot can happen in the next week, and the momentum can swing either way. But if the last four years and the last four debates have told us anything, it is that the Romney-Ryan path is the one that will do the most to grow the economy, add jobs, reopen the American dream, and restore our nation's standing in the world.
