This looks like it is from the Tonight Show. But, yeah, they should not have done that either.
Hi, QuiltAngel.

This video has been around for a few years. You can find several versions of it. It gained enough notoriety that Fox News even aired it.

Obama campaign makes ad about opposition's stated position: Desperate.
Conservatives freaking out about the jobs report, claiming that the drop in unemployment means that the numbers are manufactured: Not desperate.

Good to know...

The whole "Big Bird" thing is ridiculous from both sides. It's just as ridiculous as the whole "fair share" thing.

PBS represents such a small portion of our budget that it shouldn't even be mentioned.

It should be mentioned, along with the other countless wastes of American Tax Dollars. It's piece of the problem, but is an excellent example of the stupidity of Washington and the collapse of our government into a big government, totalitarian, 2-party-acting-as-1 State.

It's a piece of the problem for sure but discussing it is just as ridiculous as talking about the whole "fair share" thing. Raising taxes on the "wealthy" by a few percentage points will pay for about a week of spending. Cutting funding to PBS will pay for an hour or so.

These are just points politicians make because they are afraid to address the real issues that are causing the debt to skyrocket. When they start talking about fixing FDR's mess I'll listen.

PBS is hardly a "waste".

I love PBS, I've watched it all my life, I've supported my local stations. I think they are a waste of tax payer money and feel it would have no problem supporting itself as a 100% commercial enterprise, and if it doesn't want to exist that way it's free to attempt so survive solely off of donations IMHO.

How about addressing ALL that is broken with the government, not just what someone deems too small to acknowledge (which gets us in this trouble in the first place)?

Because they can't do ONE thing. If they can't do ONE thing they can't do ALL.

When they finally do ONE thing they either create a problem that they can try and fix (fiscal cliff) or they make things worse (Part D, stimulus, and on and on and on...)
