88% for evolution only?
Some faith in humanity restored!
Jeremiah 17:5
Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
And God said, "Thou can still believe in evolution whilst believing in me."
No, God did not say that; as it is not possible for God to lie.
But God did say Galatians 5:9; A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
Just as mixing a lie in with the Truth makes for polluted doctrine.
It's called a joke. I know God didn't say that.
Sorry you can't accept the fact that you're just a multi celled organism made of hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen.
Jude 1:10
But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

No, and children shouldn't even be required to go to school either.
Yep, ignorance is bliss...
Indeed. It's hard to know how someone's freedom to live their life as they choose in a modern Western economy could be limited more than by the simple expedient of allowing their parents to deny them an education.
The parents are the parents, not the government.
I think that some people in government have children, thus making them parents. Ipso facto the government are the parents.
Nor are children the property of the parents. Parents have responsibilities to their children. One of those responsibilities is education. Not providing a good education is neglect, which is child abuse. They're the parents of their children, not yours and mine.
Children are not public property. Neither are you.
That's as maybe, but there are some things we do not let parents do to their children. Beat them to death, sell them as slaves, leave their illnesses untreated, fail to feed them. There is no absolute reason why "deny them an education" shouldn't be in that list, as indeed it is.
Or do you believe parents should have absolute rights to do those other things to their children as well?
