She tried very hard to make her and Barack look like they were really just one of many American's who've struggled in their lives. But the facts don't add up. Michelle and Barack have actually had it pretty darned good. But this didn't stop the DNC Convention delegates and media from lapping up the imaginative story.

At one point they probably did drive a beat up car and dumpster dove for furniture, not an uncommon practice for college students of every class.

Is this any different from the Romneys? Or Ryans? I wonder if mitt ever dumpster dove for furniture...

But I'm pretty sure everyone knows neither of the candidates grew up in total poverty.

LOL at hating on the First lady. I suppose it is time to post attacks where Ann Romney first implied that her and Mittens had it rough in college (eating off of ironing boards and such) only to admit they have never been financially poor!

You haven't noticed all the swipes the media has taken at Ann Romney? I mean, even making fun of her MS?

Besides, a lot of insiders have said that Michelle and Valerie Jarrett are the real driving force behind Obama. If they don't approve, it don't happen. Kinda reminds me of the Clinton Whitehouse. LOL!

$277,500 wasn't even pricey by 1993 standards (my husband and I were house-hunting around then) and it was a walk-up. That is not exactly luxury - and it wasn't the first place they lived together.

Thank you. Yes the first "source" was a book and I will admit I stopped searching there. I didnt feel like trying to source check that book. The second "source" was a blog which then sourced a report and in all of those sourcings the wording turned misleading. Michelle didnt get a pay raise as a vice-president of the hospital, she got a promotion with the corresponding pay raise to go with it. There is a difference there. I will also admit I am stopping checking the sources after the second. They win by sourcing something that sources something else. I dont have that much time to track them down.
